Ontesol was developed by Coventry House International in Toronto, the only school in North America that offers Trinity CertTESOL courses, to provide students with the flexibility of taking an internationally recognized TESOL / TEFL course online. Our mission is to provide teachers with the latest innovative approaches, techniques, strategies, and classroom procedures in order to foster their professional development.

Accreditation:
Ontesol's courses have been evaluated and accredited by two separate, independent accrediting bodies: the UK-based Accreditation Council for TESOL Distance Education Courses (ACTDEC) and TESL Canada. Our 100-hour online TESOL Certificate is recognized by ACTDEC UK Level 1, and our 250-hour online TESOL Diploma is recognized by TESL Canada Professional Standard 2 and ACTDEC UK Level 3.

Online TEFL / TESOL Certification Programs:
- Online TESOL Certificate (100 hours)
- Online TESOL Diploma (250 hours)
- 20 hour practicum (English teaching practice) that can be completed at the student's location. This is optional but must be completed by students who want TESL Canada certification.
- 60-hour online TEYL (Teaching English to Young Learners) Certificate course (8 weeks)

The University of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada is a is a coeducational public research university offering a distance-delivered university-based Certificate in Teaching English as a Second Language (CERTESL) Program that can be taken from anywhere in the world. Some courses may be taken on campus. Students who complete the on-campus Summer TEFL Intensive at the U of Sask. may be eligible for transfer credit and an application bursary.

CERTESL us a 250-hour, 18 credit, 6 course program recognized for accreditation by TESL Canada, SCENES and TESL Ontario (note that TESL Ontario accreditation requires a total of 300 hours which may be completed via one additional CERTESL course and supplemental practicum hours).

Greystone College offers a 12-week TESOL (Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages) Diploma course in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Our TESOL certification program is recognized by TESL Canada. The objective of our teacher training program is to provide trainees with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to be successful ESL/EFL teachers. The course is open to Canadian and international students.

Students who successfully complete this program may apply for TESL Canada’s Professional Standard Two certification, provided they meet language and education requirements. They will also have the option to take the internationally-recognized Cambridge University TKT exam which is a test from Cambridge ESOL about teaching English to speakers of other languages.

Each student will observe 10 or more hours of ESL classes, will spend time with a mentor teacher, and will teach their own class for at least 10 hours as their final practicum, under the supervision of a sponsor teacher. Our TESOL course focuses on a high degree of interaction between instructor and students.
