12-week TESOL (Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages) Diploma Program:

Course Content:

- Module A: Linguistics, Pedagogical Theory, Methodology for Teaching Speaking, Listening, and Pronunciation, Material Analysis and Development

- Module B: Methodology for Teaching Grammar, Reading, and Writing, Feedback and Error Correction, Second Language Acquisition

- Module C: Methodology for teaching Vocabulary and Integrated Skills, Teaching Children, Testing, Evaluation and Assessment, Unit Planning and Curriculum Development

All modules will include:
- Lesson Planning
- Classroom Management
- Intercultural Awareness and Communication
- Teacher Discourse
- Professional Conduct and Development

Practicum (Teaching Practice):
Students will observe 10 or more hours of ESL classes, will spend time with a mentor teacher, and will teach their own class for at least 10 hours as their final practicum, under the supervision of a sponsor teacher.

Cambridge TKT (Teaching Knowledge Test) Exam Option:
Students will have an opportunity to prepare for and take the Cambridge Teaching Knowledge Test during the TESOL program of study. Practice tests and special TKT workshops will be provided. Students will receive certificates from Cambridge University.

TKT is a test from Cambridge ESOL about teaching English to speakers of other languages. This flexible and accessible award will help you to understand different methodologies for teaching, the 'language of teaching', the ways in which resources can be used, the key aspects of lesson planning, and classroom management methods for different needs. It aims to increase teachers' confidence and enhance job prospects by focusing on the core teaching knowledge needed by teachers of primary, secondary or adult learners, anywhere in the world.
