TESOL / TEFL Courses:
In Barcelona we offer different study options. These are:

- 4 Week TESOL course:  The aim of this 4 Week, 150+ hour TESOL certificate course is to thoroughly prepare you for teaching EFL in any overseas environment. You will be able to prepare lessons for all age groups and levels and feel confident when selecting materials and activities. Equipped with a variety of techniques and methodologies, you will be a positive and resourceful teacher.

- Flexible TESOL (2 weeks home study + 2 weeks onsite):  The 'Flexible TESOL' course is particularly suitable if you have personal or professional commitments that prevent you from attending our full 4 Week TESOL course. The aim of the Flexible TESOL course is identical to the 4 week TESOL - to prepare you to teach in any overseas environment and equip you with the techniques to be a confident and resourceful teacher.

As a Flexible TESOL trainee you will benefit from the flexibility of studying most of the theory in your own time, enabling you to absorb the course material fully. Following this thorough introduction to TESOL theory you will join other TESOL trainees at a choice of training centres in Europe. Whilst onsite you will have the chance to learn from experienced teacher trainers, exchange ideas with fellow trainees and practice on real language students.

The weekly schedule will normally consist of input sessions in the morning and early afternoon, followed by teaching practice. After teaching practice a feedback session is held where trainees and trainer sit together, exchange constructive criticism and reflect on the different lessons they observed. The onus is on reflection, as we believe this to be the most important aspect of the TEFL course. What really matters, even more than a good performance in the classroom, is for you to be able to reflect on your own and others' teaching experience and learn from it for your future development.

A typical weekly schedule may look like this:

10.00 am - 12.30 pm: Input sessions
12.30 pm - 13.30 pm: Lunch
13.30 pm - 15.00 pm: Input sessions
15.15 pm - 16.30 pm: Preparation for teaching practice
16.30 pm - 18.00 pm: Teaching practice
18.00 pm - 19.00 pm: Feedback session

The School:
Our centre is centrally located in the Eixample district of Barcelona, with a metro stop conveniently located nearby to shuttle you around the rest of the city. We are approximately 15 minutes walk from La Ramblas, (commonly regarded as the tourist centre).

When it comes to accommodation we know that our students have individual tastes and preferences. With this in mind, we offer clean, affordable and fully serviced facilities in a number of locations throughout the city. You will be housed in a clean, attractive, comfortable apartment, shared with two or three other students, either completing a TEFL course or studying other educational courses. Most of these apartments are in the "Eixample" area, the city's main shopping and business district and near to the centre. There are plenty of reasonably priced places for food and this is a good place to be at night because many of the city's trendy bars and restaurants are located here. Should you wish for more luxurious up-town accommodation, with a quieter and more sophisticated ambience, this can be arranged, albeit at extra cost.
