Full-time Cambridge University CELTA Certificate Course
Course Duration: 4-weeks. Offered all year round.
The most widely-recognised qualifications for English language teaching are those offered by the University of Cambridge. Cambridge Certificate (CELTA) course will qualify and prepare you to teach English as a foreign language to adults in Spain and worldwide.
The course is intended for people without previous teaching experience who wish to enter the profession of English language teaching to adults. It is also appropriate for those with some EFL experience, but no formal qualification or training, as well as for teachers from other fields who are interested in developing a career in English language teaching. It is recognised as a Level 5 Qualification by the British Curriculum Authority, so it follows an authorised syllabus.
Course Content:
- Language analysis and awareness
- Learners and teachers, and the teaching and learning context
- Language skills: reading, listening, speaking and writing
- Developing teaching skills and professionalism
- Planning and resources for different contexts
It is a very practical course, which combines both input and teaching practice. When taken intensively, it is a full-time commitment for 4 weeks. Evenings and weekends are devoted to completing assignments and preparing lessons for teaching practice.

CLIC (Centro de Lenguas e Intercambio Cultural) International House Seville is a lively modern language school with an international atmosphere, with two centres in the heart of Seville in Andalusia in southern Spain. We offer CELTA and DELTA courses, as well as TEFL management courses for for experienced teachers who are interested in being trained to take up a senior teaching or management position in a language school.
