Centre for Sports Studies - UCD: The Centre for Sport Studies, established in University College Dublin in 1999, serves as a focus of innovative academic activity in the increasingly important areas of Sports Studies through research, consultancy and the provision of multidisciplinary teaching. The Centre has a staff of five, works in partnership with departments in all UCD faculties and utilises the expertise of over 30 guest lecturers from a wide range of disciplines and backgrounds.

There are approximately 200 full-time and part-time students, including mature entrants and elite athletes, enrolled on its undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Our MSc (Sports Studies) is being offered by UCD's Centre for Sports Studies in association with the Centre for Continuing Professional Education. This new programme may be taken on a one-year full time or a two-year part time basis and will normally be open to graduates who have completed and achieved a high standard in their primary degree. Courses / Programs: 3 year Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Sport Management, Diploma in Sports Management (two-year programme), Certificate in Injury Management & Fitness in Sport, MSc in Sports Studies - a research Masters programme The objectives of the Centre are:- To achieve the highest international standards in the advancement of knowledge in the area of sports studies through research - To become a central consultancy resource for the Irish sporting community - To continue to address the evolving educational needs of current and future employees of the sports industry, through the provision of high quality focused programmes, using multidisciplinary expertise and flexible delivery methods.
