Nova Southeastern University, Fort Lauderdale-Davie area:
Located in the Fort Lauderdale-Davie area in Broward County, South Florida, Nova Southeastern University (NSU) provides a wide range of undergraduate degrees, three certificate programs, and two graduate degree programs. Our master's programs are offered through The Farquhar College of Arts and Sciences: Master of Arts in Writing and Master of Science in Experimental Psychology.
Graduate Degree Programs:
These graduate programs offer small class sizes and opportunities to work closely with knowledgeable, experienced professors. The college provides this personalized approach to graduate education at the heart of a major university whose student population is predominantly at the graduate and doctoral level.
Master of Arts in Writing:
The Master of Arts in Writing program is offered during the evening on NSU's main campus. This program allows you to build backgrounds in both professional and creative writing. You will also develop specialized writing skills in areas such as technical business, and journalistic writing. You will be prepared for careers in publishing, writing, and education; to write professionally for newspapers, magazines, and businesses; and to pursue a variety of Ph.D. programs of study.
The Master of Arts in Writing program's diverse range of courses enables students to explore a variety of creative and professional writing genres in small classes with faculty who are writers themselves. Faculty work to provide students with opportunities that go beyond the classroom, as well. The successful completion of a graduate thesis is required to complete this degree program.

Master of Science in Experimental Psychology:
This program will equip you with comprehensive skills in scientific inquiry and research methodology. It aims to provide you with a strong academic foundation in the theories and concepts of experimental psychology. Career opportunities for graduates include teaching and research in industrial, government, private consulting, health care, and community settings. Alternatively, they are prepared for admission into a doctoral program in psychology.
The successful completion of a graduate thesis is required to complete this degree program. The college's Master of Science in Experimental Psychology degree program is offered on NSU's main campus.
