Brandeis International Business School, Boston:
The Brandeis International Business School (IBS) at Brandeis University in Waltham, Middlesex County, Massachusetts is located 10 miles from Boston. The school's teaching addresses three core areas: management, finance and economic policy. Each is taught within the context of the global economy and against the background of international interdependence. All students are required to have or acquire international experience and knowledge of a language other than English. IBS has exchange relationships with 20 universities and schools of business in Europe, Asia, and South America.
Four degree programs are offered:
- MBA
- MA in International Economics and Finance
- PhD in International Economics and Finance
- Master of Science in Finance
Undergraduate Programs are available in conjunction with the School of Arts and Sciences and the Brandeis Department of Economics.
Our Faculty:
The IBS faculty consists of twenty research-oriented scholars specializing in international finance, economics and business, and a similar number of adjunct professors with extensive practical experience as senior executives of Boston-area companies. All faculty share an interest in international issues and often have substantial international research or work experience.
IBS has earned accreditation for its degree programs by AACSB International – the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. This accreditation places Brandeis in a highly competitive cohort of peer institutions and allows us to participate in important rankings. Achieving accreditation in such a short time is impressive, underscoring the school’s dedication to excellence in global business education. Accreditation also testifies to the strength of our faculty and staff.
Scholarship Opportunities:
Brandeis International Business School offers scholarships to outstanding members of the National Society of Hispanic MBAs (NSHMBAs), National Black MBA Association (NBMBAA) and Association of Latino Professionals in Finance and Accounting (ALPFA). Successful candidates for these scholarships will be chosen on the basis of the quality of their work experience, educational record, demonstrated leadership skills and their activities outside of the classroom. NBMBAA, NSHMBA, and ALPFA members must submit their application for admission and scholarship consideration to Brandeis International Business School each year by May 15th. Decisions will be rendered by June 15th.
