Mount Holyoke College, located in South Hadley (90 minutes west of Boston), Massachusetts, is a premier research liberal arts college for women offering 50 departmental and interdepartmental majors, including the option to design a special major. The primary degree conferred is the bachelor of arts (B.A) degree, in addition to the Bachelor of Arts, Masters degrees in psychology, and teaching are also offered.

Renowned for its academic rigor and internationalism, the first of the Seven Sisters (the female equivalent of the once predominantly male Ivy League), Mount Holyoke established higher education for women as a serious endeavor. With 49 departmental and interdisciplinary majors, outstanding support services, and access to the Five College Consortium, Mount Holyoke students enjoy a rich intellectual life with far-reaching rewards.
