Wellesley College occupies over 450 rolling acres of cultivated and natural areas that are adjacent to Lake Waban. The Botanic Gardens feature many species of trees and plants; the gardens include a 22-acre arboretum, the Greenhouses, and the Alexandra Botanic Garden. The buildings on campus range in style from Gothic with stone towers and brick quadrangles to state of the art facilities for the sciences, arts, and sports.
