Our Economics and Business Department offers business administration and management degree programs with two concentrations: economics (bachelor of arts) and business administration (bachelor of science). Economics, a liberal arts discipline, is utilized in both concentrations as a foundation to better understand the world we live in as well as to prepare the student for a career in business, government, law or non-profit organizations.

Albright College is fully accredited by the Commission on Higher Education of the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools. We know there are lots of colleges out there. Arriving by Bus:
The city of Reading can be reached by Greyhound, Capitol Trailways and Bieber Bus. Reading's bus terminal is located at the intersection of 3rd and Penn Streets, five minutes from Albright's campus. The bus terminal is open Monday through Friday from 4:45 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. and weekends from 6:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Also from 4:45 a.m. to 5 a.m. on weekends for the early bus.

Arriving by Air:
From the Philadelphia International Airport, visitors should take Route 95 South to Route 476 North to the Pennsylvania Turnpike and follow directions from the East via the PA Turnpike (Interstate 76 West). The travel time will generally be approximately one hour and thirty minutes.

DIRECTIONS FROM THE NORTHWEST VIA ROUTES 80 and 61 SOUTH:

Follow Route 80 East to the Danville exit. From Danville, take Route 54 South to Route 61 South.

Follow Route 61 South through Leesport. South of Leesport turn left onto Route 73 East. This intersection is landmarked by Ozzie's Sport Center, which you will see on the left just before the traffic light.

Follow Route 73 East approximately three miles to the traffic light at the intersection with Route 222.

Turn right onto Route 222 South. After about a mile you will need to stay to the left and proceed on Business 222 South to Laureldale and Center City Reading. After passing through the intersection of Kutztown Road (Wal Mart on the right) you will begin to see many retail and fast food establishments. After passing a K-Mart on your left and the Fairgrounds Square Shopping Mall on your right, you will proceed through two more traffic lights before taking the Route 12 East (Pricetown) exit, which exits to the left. (The distance from Route 73 to Route 12 is about six miles)

On Route 12 East you will soon exit to your right onto 11th Street. Continue down the exit ramp and turn right onto 11th Street. At the traffic light (about two blocks) turn left onto Rockland Street (CVS on the left). Proceed to the next traffic light (two blocks) and turn right onto 13th Street. At the first stop sign (two blocks) turn left onto Bern Street and then make an immediate right into our parking lot. Proceed to the far end of the lot, where there will be signs for Admission guests.

DIRECTIONS FROM THE NORTHEAST VIA ROUTE 78 WEST:

Follow 78 West to Pennsylvania exit 49A (formerly 14A) - Route 100 South.

Take 100 South to Schantz Road. The distance from Route 78 to this exit is only about ¼ mile. It is the second light and there is a sign that points toward Reading. Follow Schantz Road to the stop sign (several miles) where Schantz Road merges with Route 222 South.

Follow 222 South to Reading. You will pass through intersections with Route 662 and Route 73. As you get closer to Reading you will be given the option of taking Route 222 South to Lancaster or Business 222 South to center city Reading. You will continue on Business 222 South to Laureldale and Center City Reading.

As you approach Reading, you will pass through the intersection with Kutztown Road (Wal Mart on the right) and begin to see many retail and fast food establishments. After passing a K-Mart on your left and the Fairgrounds Square Shopping Mall on your right, you will proceed through two more traffic lights before taking the Route 12 East (Pricetown) exit, which exits to the left.

It should take approximately 20 to 25 minutes to drive from Schantz Road to Route 12 East.

On Route 12 East you will soon exit to your right onto 11th Street. Continue down the exit ramp and turn right onto 11th Street. Follow 81 South to Exit 194, the Northeast Extension of the PA Turnpike, Route 476.

Follow 476 South to 78 West.

Follow 78 West to Pennsylvania exit 49A (formerly 14A) - Route 100 South.

FROM THE SOUTH: Baltimore and Washington, D.C. (Interstate 83 North), York (Route 30 East), and Lancaster (Route 222 North) From the Baltimore Beltway (Interstate 695), access Interstate 83 North.

Follow 83 North to Exit 21A, Route 30 East. Take 30 East to 222 North

Follow 222 North. You will go through some construction and then proceed on the new road into the Reading area. You will enter a commercial area where you will see the Berkshire Mall, a Home Depot, Wellesley Inn, etc. At this point there will be an exit for 222 North to Allentown, Do not exit, but continue straight ahead onto Route 12 East.

Follow Route 12 EAST approximately 2.5 miles to the 11th Street Exit. Continue down the exit ramp and turn right onto 11th Street. At the traffic light (about two blocks) turn left onto Rockland Street (CVS on the left). Proceed to the next traffic light (two blocks) and turn right onto 13th Street. At the first stop sign (two blocks) turn left onto Bern Street and then make an immediate right into our parking lot.
