The Academy of Cosmetic Arts:
Situated in San Jose, Santa Clara County in Northern California, The Academy of Cosmetic Arts Professional Makeup Artist School offers specialized make-up artist Certificate programs. Our training program is the first and only program of its kind in the San Francisco Bay Area and Northern CA. The Academy of Cosmetic Arts provides students with the knowledge and advanced skills required for the transition from cosmetic or college level programs to professional organizations and careers.

The Academy of Cosmetic Arts training program for makeup artists is the first and only program of its kind in the San Francisco Bay Area and Northern California. Professional makeup artists and cosmetology students from all ranges have attended this exciting program of seminar workshops. The Academy of Cosmetic Arts provides students with the knowledge and advanced skills required for the transition from cosmetic or college level programs to professional organizations and careers. Our instructors are not only excellent teachers but also work full-time in the media makeup industry.

Building an effective, diverse, and personal illustrative resume is also a major goal of the Academy. The Academy features opportunities to participate in productions of fashion shows and photo shoots. Internships on independent and feature films is also offered upon availability with Master Classes in on-location work.

Cosmetic Arts Program:
The Academy certificate program offers 8 workshops on a once-a-week basis. Workshops are approximately three hours long and normally run in the evening. Scheduling may vary depending on the instructor's needs. The curriculum is designed to give an intense study of each area of the profession, providing a range of makeup and fashion styling artistry from which to choose special areas of interest. 

The curriculum includes:
- Make-up Design workshop
- Airbrush Make-up workshop
- Fashion Show Makeup workshop
- Corporate Styling workshop
- Television and Film techniques workshop

* Internships on independent & feature films is offered upon availability with master classes in on-location work.

Award winning make-up artist, Rose Hill is a veteran in her field for over twenty years. Her work has graced the eyes of audiences of feature films to magazine covers and won her a spot on television's Evening Magazine as the Celebrity Make-up Artist to the Stars. Her style is known to be on the cutting edge and jobs have taken her around the world.  Rose Hill is known for her flexibility or crossover in the field of make-up artistry. Working in stage, theater, film, video, television, and photography Rose Hill has proven to be successful in whatever she chooses. 

As an instructor, Rose Hill, brings this flexibility into her class, working to enhance the student's strong points and direct them to a field best suited for their talents and interests. Rose Hill is represented by major agencies in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Chicago, New York, and Japan.
