Landesschule Pforta is a Grade 9-12 German boarding school with a long tradition and special concept of furthering talented students in languages, music and natural sciences. Situated close to the cities of Leipzig and Naumburg in eastern Germany, instruction is through German, and every student has to choose one of three centers of interest: Foreign Languages, Music, or Natural Sciences.

Department of Music
The Department of Music was founded in 1982, but there had been a long tradition of successful choirs before. In addition to this the special aim of the Department of Music is to further their musical talents by a wide training and and so to make them competent and active participants of musical life.

The Department of Natural Sciences is the youngest department at Landesschule Pforta. The International School OWL is a full-day boarding school based in the beautiful city of Paderborn in the centre of Germany.Our students graduate with the German Baccalaureate, a high school diploma that is recognised by universities worldwide.
It is an IB programme (International A-level) with additional German language courses. There is no need for an additional foundation year.
Our classes start after junior high school and will last six semesters in total (classes 10-12).
