The International School OWL is a full-day boarding school based in the beautiful, historical city of Paderborn in the state of North Rhine-Westphalia (in the central Germany region). We offer the German Baccalaureate on graduation, a high school diploma that is recognised by universities worldwide. After the first year, with lessons in German, English and Mathmatics only, the students can choose between two branches:

Paderborn, with around 150.000 inhabitants, is a historical city founded by Charlemagne in 795, situated in the state of eastern North Rhine-Westphalia (in the central Germany region), 48 km south of Bielefeld, 104 km east of Dortmund, and 147 km south-east of Hanover.
Paderborn offers a good balance between life in a bigger city and the calm of the countryside. The City, with it’s medieval origins still visible in it’s historic core, is home not only to a stunning Cathedral, but also to a modern University and the biggest computer museum in the world.

The supervision supports our students with managing their daily routines and getting accustomed to a foreign culture. Of course, there is also time and opportunity to take part in several activities like sports, cultural activities or exploring the wonderful city of Paderborn and Germany.
We differentiate between students whose home country is part of the EU (day-students) and students whose home country is not part of the EU (international students). Fees per school year (+ 500 € of non-recurring admission fee for all students):
Day-students: 7000 €
International students: 43.800 €
The entry requirements for German Baccalaureate are straight forward and easy to meet. A certain English language level is required since all the courses are being taught in English, except the German language course.
Entry requirements are the following:

Founded in 2000 by the state government of Berlin, Nelson Mandela School is an international comprehensive school in Berlin, providing quality bilingual education in grades 1-13 to children from a wide variety of backgrounds. Obermenzinger Gymnasium private, bilingual secondary school in North-west Munich, Germany that features bilingual concepts designed for families with an English speaking background. The Frankfurt International School (FIS), located just outside of Frankfurt and founded in 1961, is an independent, co-educational day school, which offers an educational program for students of all nationalities. Frankfurt International School (FIS) together with the International School Wiesbaden (ISW) is the largest and second oldest international school in Germany. The school is organized into four school divisions: the Primary Division age 3 to Grade 1, the Elementary Division Grades 2-5, and the Upper School Grades 6-12, all of which are in Oberursel.
The International School Wiesbaden (ISW) operates as a branch of FIS at a separate campus in Wiesbaden for students age 3 to Grade 8.
FIS is recognised as an allgemein bildende Ergänzungsschule. It is an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School and a founding member of the Organisation.
