We are a private, independent institution, bilingual school, French-English or French-Russian, from pre-school to fifth grade located at 8, place de la Porte de Champerret, 75017 Paris, France.

Anne Henderson-Stewart founded the Petite Ecole Française in London in 1979, which continues to receive children of all nationalities. On the strength of her experience in London, Anne Henderson-Stewart decided to found the Petite Ecole Bilingue in Paris in 1995. Recognised for the quality of her teaching, she gives her pupils an excellent foundation to ensure their future academic success. Relying on more than 20 years of experience in London and 10 years in Paris, the Stewart International School offers a rich and varied programme in the fields of art, music, theatre, sport and computer science in addition to the traditional French National Curriculum.

Primary school is the moment when your child truly enters the world of school. At the Petite Ecole Bilingue, your child will acquire all the basics: reading, writing and arithmetic. Living languages are a focal point of our attention; at this age children learn foreign languages with great facility. Our goal is to ensure that the pupils are at ease in the use of French and English or Russian, depending on which option they have chosen. Our school is truly bilingual: the morning classes (French, mathematics and history) take place in French and the afternoon classes (foreign language and literature, science, computer science, art, music, singing) are taught in the selected foreign languages (English or Russian). All the teachers and classroom contributors are native speakers.

The Petite Ecole Française of London is fully accredited by the French Ministry of National Education and integrated into the French educational system.

Preschool Program starting at age 2, in morning sessions, afternoon sessions or all day; Primary school Program for children from the first through fifth grades (CP to CM2 in the French system). Classes are held in French and English or Russian.

Library:
We have an extensive library. With the help of the teachers, the librarian guides the children in selecting books and organises story-reading sessions. Thus, our pupils become familiar early on with the music of the words and develop an interest in good stories. As a result, reading becomes a pleasure. This initiation to the discovery of beautiful writing is irreplaceable training for their edification.

Artistic workshop:
A specialized contributor teaches the children painting and drawing techniques as well as handicrafts.

Theatre:
A theatre area is set aside to allow the children to express themselves by performing plays, thereby giving free reign to their enthusiasm and imagination. School shows are organised twice a year – at Christmastime and at the end of the school year. In addition, small groups of theatre and music professionals regularly come to the school to present plays and concerts.

Music and singing:
A professional musician gives classes in singing, rhythm and percussion. Starting at the kindergarten level, we also have a chorale directed by a specialised teacher. This is an outstanding opportunity for the children’s artistic and personal fulfilment.

Sport:
We offer a wide range of sports, which vary according to the age of the children, at a gymnasium close to the Ecole: gymnastics, swimming, dancing and judo. Lessons are given by a full-time physical education teacher.
