Central location in the heart of Italy:
Camerino has excellent transport links to the cities of Florence, Rome, Bologna, Venice, Naples and Capri and can be reached easily by car, bus or train. The Ancona-Falconara international airport is located about 70km from Camerino and offers direct flights to and from many major Italian and European cities including Rome, Milan, London, Munich, Paris, Madrid, Moscow among others. In addition, ferries sail daily to and from Greece, Turkey, and Croatia from the port of Ancona (70km from the school).

They comprise 100 hours of study which are divided into 80 hours of Italian language classes and 20 hours of culture lessons. Added to this are recreational activities such as guided tours and excursions to some of the Marche’s and Italy’s most beautiful cities (Rome, Florence, Perugia, Siena, Venezia etc). The courses are made up of small groups, adapted to all levels - from total beginner to advanced.

Founded in 1995, Accademia del Giglio is a private Italian language and culture school based in Florence in the Tuscany region of Italy, approximately 3 hours north of Rome. Our courses are specifically aimed at helping international students to gain proficiency in the Italian language, understand the many aspects of Italian culture and acquire artistic skills.

The school places considerable emphasis on the quality of its teaching. All our teachers have a degree from an approved Italian university, are native Italian speakers who can also speak English and / or French, and have at least 4 years’ teaching experience. They are prepared to help the students with any problem they may experience during their stay at the Accademia del Giglio.

Our classes are very small with a maximum of 6-7 students, and are held in a peaceful, quiet area in the city. We feel that small class sizes are essential to facilitate the learning process and ensure that focus is placed on the learning requirements of the individual student, and on helping him / her to overcome any difficulties in a friendly environment.

We provide Italian language courses for foreigners, including intensive Italian courses, CELI exam preparation, private Italian lessons and corporate Italian training for professionals / companies. Our teachers are native Italians who hold the DITALS professional qualification awarded by the University for Foreigners of Siena for teachers of Italian as a Foreign Language. They are also members of APIDIS (Italian Teachers for Foreigners Professional Association) with significant teaching experience.
