Complete Immersion Medical Spanish Program:
Course Duration: You may attend from 1 week to 6 weeks. You may start the program on any Monday of the year.
To meet the increasing need for Spanish speaking health professionals, The Spanish Institute of Mérida provides a total immersion Medical Spanish program for health professionals. Designed for pharmacists, nurses and nurse practitioners, this course provides up to 40 hours of continuing education credit.
Course Content:
- During your four hour of classroom learning at the Spanish Institute of Merida, you will cover the structure of the language, Spanish vocabulary and grammar, pronunciation, reading comprehension and writing exercises.
- During your 2 hour classes at a local hospital, you will observe and interact with doctors, patients and other hospital staff. It is the perfect way to take what you learn in the classroom into practice.

Since 1998 International House has taught Spanish as a second language, but in January 2005 it expanded the operation to give full-time courses as well.
