Queen Ethelburga's College:
Located in York in the north-east of England, Queen Ethelburga's College is a private day & boarding school for boys & girls aged 0-19, from Kindergarten all the way up to A-level. Queen Ethelburga's welcomes boarding pupils aged 5 to 18. Our Collegiate comprises four schools and a kindergarten, each with its unique qualities, but all sharing a common purpose of providing students with a first class education and the opportunity to work towards higher education and a successful career.

Boarding Facilities & Options:

- No matter whether a child joins our boarding community in the Prep School or in the Sixth Form; whether they choose to stay with us all week, all term, or occasionally, there will be a warm welcome in one of our boarding houses.

- The number of girls or boys to a room varies - normally from 4 down to 1 or 2 (dependent on age and availability). Queen Ethelburga's has it all - excellent academic results, a great deal of fun and excitement out of school hours, a huge number of things to do with loads of equipment and facilities.

Strong Academic Principles:
There are strong academic standards across the Foundation, and students are encouraged to have high expectations for their achievement and career prospects.

There is a very wide curriculum available, which enables students to pursue their individual interests and aspirations across a range of fields, alongside a vast array of extra-curricular opportunities which enable students to widen their experience and gain both skills and confidence.

Those pupils who join us will enter a board-based programme of lessons including English, Mathematics, three Sciences, Music, the Arts, Languages, Information Technology and the Humanities. Careers lessons, Sport and PSE are also included. GCSE, Sixth Form A-Level Preparation.

Welbeck Defence Sixth Form College is a co-educational, residential sixth-form boarding college in Loughborough in Leicestershire, Central England. One of the top colleges in the country, Welbeck offers a two-year A-level education for students wishing to pursue an engineering based career in the Army, Royal Navy, Royal Air Force and MOD (Ministry of Defence) Civil Service.

The college accommodates around 340 students on a superbly equipped, ultra-modern campus. The tuition is free, although parents may have to contribute towards living expenses. Once a student completes the course, they would then be committed to a career in the Army for a period of time.
