University of Canberra:
The University of Canberra's mission is to provide the highest level of professional undergraduate education in Australia. It educates students for approximately 30 different professions, among them information technology, management, law, accounting, engineering, teaching, modern languages, marketing, journalism, design, architecture, biomedical science, psychology, nursing, environmental science and sports studies.

UC has one of the highest employment rates for graduates in Australia. The University currently has enrolled approximately 10,000 students from some 90 countries. Its main source of international students is the Asia-Pacific region, but students also come from Africa, North & South America, the Middle East and Europe. About 60 percent of the current student population is aged under 25 years, and 55 percent of the enrolments are women. Approximately 37 per cent study part-time, while around 20 percent are enrolled in postgraduate courses.

There are more than nine thousand full time students, working towards undergraduate Bachelors Degrees and Diplomas, and Graduate Certificates, Diplomas, Masters degrees or Doctorates. UC offers full-time & part-time courses at undergraduate & graduate level. Courses are offered by Schools organised within UC's three Academic Divisions: 1. Business, Law & Information Sciences, 2. Communication & Education, and 3. Health, Design & Science.

The University of Canberra is set in a unique environment. The Campus is a haven of clean air, tall trees and native vegetation, with many different birds, including white cockatoos, and resident kangaroos, yet it's handy to popular entertainment and shopping venues including Westfield Shoppingtown in nearby Belconnen,and the Canberra Centre in Civic, the City Centre.

Canberra is the capital city of Australia and seat of its national government. Canberra is home to many international Embassies and large corporate and public service headquarters. It has a population of some 325,000 which makes it small enough to be relaxed and sociable, yet it offers all the facilities and cosmopolitan lifestyle of a much larger city. It is located in the Australian Capital Territory (ACT), approximately midway between Australia’s two largest cities Sydney and Melbourne.

- The University has on-campus student accommodation for over 1,000 young people from Australia and abroad. New student accommodation blocks are currently under construction.
