Stockdale Christian School:
Stockdale Christian School in Bakersfield in Kern County is a private Christian school serving boys and girls in grades preschool through to eighth. Stockdale Christian Schools is an extension of the ministry of First Assembly of God Church, Bakersfield, CA. Our current enrollment includes 150 preschool students, over 700 students in grades K-8 and 90 students in our homeschool program.

Christian Education Programs (Preschool through 8th Grade) 

Preschool Program:

Our preschool is designed for children ages 2 1/2 – 6 years. Specific classes for each age group ensures that activities are appropriate for their developmental needs. Program options include half days or full days. Children can attend Monday—Friday, Monday/Wednesday/Friday or Tuesday/Thursday.

In order to help children have a solid start in life, goals are designed to meet their spiritual, mental, emotional, physical and social needs. A well planned program which incorporates all five of these areas is always in progress, with the idea that learning never stops. The schedule includes daily Bible, Phonics, Number-skills, Music, Art, Science, Stories and Play Centers. Weekly the children attend Chapel and participate in a Round Robin.

Kindergarten Program:

Kindergarten at Stockdale Christian is designed as an introduction to our elementary school curriculum. Under the loving direction of a teacher, each student will participate in a variety of structured and non-structured activities designed to develop the background and skills necessary for successive levels of learning.

First Grade Program:
First grade at Stockdale Christian School provides each student with a brief review of the skills and concepts developed in kindergarten. Under the loving direction of a teacher, the first grade child proceeds into an expanded learning environment of Bible, reading, phonics, writing (manuscript), spelling, mathematics, science, social studies, music, art, and physical education.

Second Grade Program:
Second grade at Stockdale Christian School provides each student with a brief review of the skills and concepts developed in first grade. Under the loving direction of a teacher, the second grade student participates in Bible, reading, phonics, language arts (writing, spelling and grammar), mathematics, science, social studies, computer, music, art, and physical education.

Third Grade Program:
Third grade at Stockdale Christian School provides each student with a brief review of the skills and concepts developed in second grade. Under the loving direction of a teacher, the third grade student participates in bible, reading, language arts (writing, spelling and grammar), mathematics, science, social studies, music, computer, art, physical education, and health.

Fourth Grade Program:
Fourth grade at Stockdale Christian School provides each student with a brief review of the skills and concepts covered in third grade. Under the loving direction of a teacher, the fourth grade student receives guidance in developing independent and self-directed classroom work habits. The student participates in a full range of curriculum offerings including: Bible, reading, language arts (writing, spelling, and grammar), mathematics, science, social studies, music, art, physical education, computer, and health.

Fifth Grade Program:
Fifth grade at Stockdale Christian School provides each student with a brief review of the skills and concepts covered in fourth grade. Under the loving direction of a teacher, the fifth grade student assumes an expanded role for self-direction and independent classroom study. The student participates in a full range of curriculum offerings including: Bible, reading, language arts (writing, spelling, and grammar), mathematics, science, social studies, music, art, physical education, computer, and health.

Sixth Grade Program:
Sixth grade at Stockdale Christian School provides each student with a brief review of the skills and concepts covered in fifth grade. Under the loving direction of three teachers the sixth grade student assumes responsibility for self-direction and independent study as they prepare to move into the departmentalized classrooms of the junior high department (7th through 8th grade). The student participates in a full range of curriculum offerings including: Bible, reading, language arts (writing, spelling, and grammar), mathematics, science, social studies, music, art, physical education, computer, and health.

Seventh Grade Program:
Seventh grade is a departmentalized program where students move from class to class during the school day. Students are in seven periods or classes per day and are expected to be actively involved in their education as they assume additional responsibilities for self-direction and independent study. The seventh grade student participates in a full range of curriculum offerings including: Bible, English (reading, writing, spelling, and grammar), mathematics, physical education, health and electives.

Eighth Grade Program:
Eighth grade is a departmentalized program where students move from class to class during the school day. Students are involved in seven periods or classes per day and are expected to be actively involved in their education as they assume additional responsibilities for selfdirection and independent study. The eighth grade student participates in a full range of curriculum offerings including: Bible, English (reading, writing, spelling, and grammar), mathematics, physical education, health and electives.

Located in Palo Alto in Santa Clara County in the San Francisco Bay Area, Hope Technology School (HTS) is a not-for-profit school, established in 2001, with the mission of providing an exceptional learning experience for typical and special needs children from preschool through to 8th grade in a fully inclusive, technology rich environment.
