Our goal is to encourage children to explore & make music. Music can offer the mental & emotional tools needed for children to build a well-rounded future. Music education offers children the opportunity to develop skills ranging from better concentration to coordination in addition to providing a creative outlet for self expression.
Our Mission:
Ladera Music Academy offers affordable, flexible music education services through on campus music classes, parks and recreations programs and private lessons throughout Southern California. We believe that talent is earned, not given, so we have the high expectation that any child can excel in music while having fun!
About our Founder:
In 2011, Dr. Tanitra Flenaugh started the Southern California Fine Music Center with the goal of providing excellent music education services through on-campus music programs, parks and recreation programs, and private lessons throughout Southern California. Over 80 low-income children in the Inglewood community are benefiting from her orchestral music education and instrumental summer music camps.
Dr. Flenaugh is opening the doors to the Ladera Music Academy in 2013 in order to continue servicing the community in a greater way. The academy will offer classes for any level of experience from infants through seniors.

The Lycée is a PK to 12th grade college preparatory school in the San Francisco Bay Area which is based on the French national curriculum augmented by courses in American History, English Literature and Visual Arts. It provides a challenging educational environment, emphasizing academic achievement leading to the French Baccalaureate.Designed to provide our students with a structured, well-assimilated body of general knowledge while encouraging the development of analytical and critical thinking skills, the curriculum fosters autonomy, initiative, self-respect and the respect of others, cooperation and responsibility. In addition, by becoming bilingual, our students become aware of and respect cultural differences. Corte Madera Montessori

Corte Madera Montessori is a private Montessori School devoted to the education of Pre-Primary, Primary and Kindergarten children (ages 2-5 years) in Corte Madera in Marin County in the North San Francisco Bay Area. We base our philosophy and programs on the pioneering work of Dr. Maria Montessori. Through careful observation of how a child learns, Dr. Maria Montessori developed educational materials designed to assist children to reach their full potential of self-confidence and independence. Dr. Montessori’s methods follow and inspire the natural enthusiasm children have for learning.
Our classrooms are led by Montessori certified teachers. Each well prepared environment reflects the core Montessori belief that children learn best through their own efforts. The role of the teacher is to link the children to the environment by group and individual lessons.

Coastal Children's Learning Center
Courses / Programs
Located in Costa Mesa, Orange County CA, Coastal Children's Learning Center provides preschool and Pre-K classes for children ages 18 months to 6 years. Our program is a learn-through-play, developmental course which follows the High Scope Curriculum. We are licensed for 39 children and have 8 staff members, and strive to maintain a low ratio of 1:8. We also offer a day care service.We believe that learning is most effective for children when it is provided through ‘play’. Play is the child’s work, where education is life. With this in mind, we will provide intellectual stimulation through a variety of new experiences where the teacher becomes a facilitator to problem solving in each child’s world.

The Discovery Center School, San Francisco

The Discovery Center School (DCS) is an independent, co-educational school for students in Kindergarten through to 12th grade. We are located in Northern Park, San Francisco, and are proud to serve families in Northern Park, Central North, Anza Vista, Hayes Valley, Inner Richmond, Laurel Heights, Pacific Heights and surrounding communites throughout the Bay area. The student population richly reflects the diversity represented in the Bay Area with regard to socio-economic, religious and ethnic differences. We offer remedial classes as well. For the past 36 years, The Discovery Center School has successfully provided a very supportive learning environment for the development of excellence in each of our young learners. The Carey School is an accredited, independent private school offering grades Pre-Kindergarten through to 5th Grade in San Mateo in the San Francisco Bay Area, CA, approximately 20 miles south of San Francisco and 30 miles north of San Jose. Children's Village Preschool in Orange County, approximately 3 miles north of Santa Ana, is a developmental, play based preschool offering programs to children from ages 18 months to 6 years. We strive to challenge children’s creativity and to be aware and respectful of their emotional needs, and to support and facilitate their social development by providing opportunities for children to build positive self-esteem. We welcome and respect the diversity of cultures and encourage every member of our center to share their culture with us. We are facilitators of children’s development fostering their social, emotional, physical and cognitive development for life long learning.
Our philosophy at Children's Village Preschool is based on the belief that children learn best when exposed to a challenging environment that offers a variety of meaningful hands-on activities and experiences. We believe that children should be allowed to explore their surroundings in order to develop a good sense of problem solving and decision-making.
Our Preschool enrolls children 18 months through 6 years. Being potty trained is not a requirement.
