Are you searching for a quality therapeutic boarding school in the Northwest for a troubled boy or girl? Turning Winds Academic Institute (TWAI) is an internationally-accredited, family-run boarding school for troubled teens ages 13-18.

We serve struggling youth and their families across the U.S. seeking the benefits of a therapeutic boarding school, a wilderness program, and/or a residential treatment center (RTC) in the Pacific Northwest region (including Washington State, Idaho and Montana).

TWAI is also authorized to issue 1-20's for international students.

Located on a beautiful 150 acre campus in northwestern Montana, TWAI provides an exceptional serene, safe and healing environment. We are only 4 hours by car from Spokane WA.

We provide an extremely high standard of therapeutic treatment to our students, and offer help for the following presenting issues: poor academic performance, behavioral problems, addictions, low self-worth, spectrum disorders, ADD/ADHD, and attachment disorders among others.

We are a small program (40 students) which means that we are able to provide a truly unique and customized approach for every student.

Typically our on site student to staff ratio is 5:1. The average stay at our residential treatment center is 12 months.

Clearview Horizon School for Girls

Clearview Horizon School for Girls is a therapeutic boarding school designed for girls between the ages of 13 to 21 years. We are located in Sandpoint in Bonner County, Idaho, set in the beautiful Montana mountains.

Clearview is for girls who are struggling with self-esteem, motivation, purpose, the influence of a negative peer environment, recreational drug use, an eating disorder, or some other destructive behavioral pattern.

Through our unique Christian-based program, students find the strength to overcome their disorders. Students attend school, receive tutoring when necessary, and participate in after school activities.

More than 500 students have trusted their care to Clearview Horizon since 1996. Clearview offers a program made up of skilled and experienced professionals who help young women struggling with life problems.

Clearview is fully accredited through the Northwest Accreditation Commission (NWAC). It has been our mission to help young girls rejoin their families and face the world better equipped with the skills necessary to succeed in life.

The Academy at Sisters, Bend

Located just south of Bend, Oregon at the base of the Three Sisters Mountains, The Academy at Sisters is a small and exclusive therapeutic boarding school for at risk young women ages 13-18.

We provide treatment and academic services for girls who have put themselves in dangerous situations such as playing truant, drug and alcohol abuse, and are beyond parental control.

The length of stay is one year to 18 months. Our academic program is an integral part of our treatment program, varied and challenging, making us the leading Oregon Boarding School for at-risk girls. We teach students to learn from the past, plan for the future, and live responsibly in the present.

The Academy at Sisters Oregon boarding school operates on two campuses. Our Lodge Campus is the setting for the first phase of the girls´ placement and offers a therapeutic environment.

The Sagemont School
Courses / Programs
The Sagemont School in Weston, South Florida, is a private upper school offering programs to students from Grades 6 through 12.

The Sagemont school is not a traditional boarding school, and does not offer on-campus residential facilities. Instead, through our homestay program, international students stay with a local American family for the school year.

Montana Academy, Kalispell

Montana Academy is a private therapeutic boarding school for young people ages 14 to 17 at crisis points in their lives.

Many of our students have endured traumas, struggled with learning difficulties or school or social failure. Many have emotional symptoms such as depression, tantrums or anxiety that have disrupted their ability to function on a day-to-day basis.

We are located in Marion, in the northwestern area of Montana, 40 miles southwest of Kalispell on US Highway 2.

As a therapeutic boarding school, we emphasize both treatment and education. We endeavor to provide sophisticated clinical expertise in a simple environment.

On a remote Montana ranch, the school combines an emotional growth curriculum designed for psychologically troubled youth with a dual academic program—grounded in practical tasks to suit students disenchanted with and disengaged from conventional classrooms.
Therapeutic Boarding School Program for Troubled Teens (Ages 14-17)

- We offer a broad range of classes in English, history, mathematics, science, art and foreign language. Honors and Advance Placement are available in many classes.

- Students take three classes and earn 5 credits per subject passed in a 12-week block curriculum.

- The Academy also offers the PSAT, SAT and assistance with college applications.
Delphian School

Delphian School is a premiere, private, international, non-religious, co-educational day and boarding school in the U.S. located in the Pacific Northwest on 800 acres of Oregon's scenic Willamette Valley (about 1 hour southwest of Portland OR, and 4 hours drive south of Seattle, Washington).
