Our History:
Sunny skies preschool started off as a childhood dream of its Educational Director, Margarycel Nunez. As a child in the Dominican Republic, she always gathered her friends and stuffed animals for some ‘school-house play’, as years progressed that fantasy became a reality. At the young age of fifteen, just having been in America for two years, she was appointed to be an in-classroom tutor for a learning disabled student in her High School, FDR in Brooklyn.
We strive to teach the whole child at all times and make every moment a learning experience not only for the children in attendance but for the families as well, we all become involved to benefit the children. In Sunny Skies Preschool we take pride in our tradition of excellence for the families we serve.

Our mission is to educate the whole child by integrating high academics with ethics and socialization. We give all children that come to us the tools they will need beyond their preschool experience, both in their future at school as well as in their personal relationships, understanding the impact that we can have in children’s lives and making every moment into a teachable experience.
Preschool Program with Exclusive "Advancement Via Life Experience" Curriculum:
Our unique A.V.L.E. (Advancement Via Life Experience) program gives students the opportunity to experience things that happen every day and making those events learning experiences. The core of the curriculum has a “me and the world” approach, which teaches that everyone is valuable and that we can all make a differences in our world. Reading, writing, math, comprehensive skills and social awareness makes A.V.L.E. academically advanced as well.

Wee Care Child Care, Manhattan

Conveniently located in the Upper East Side of Manhattan, NYC, Wee Care Child Care provides child care and preschool programs for children ages 6 weeks through 5 years. Enrolling your child in day care or preschool at an early age means that you are preparing them for educational success in elementary school. Early childhood development teaches important elements associated with quality performance in school. Our teachers work on developing and modifying routines for infants, providing language development for toddlers, and teaching the fundamentals of art, math, and science for preschoolers. We are proud of our creative learning programs which are grounded in teacher-guided activities based on monthly themes, with modifications based on age group.

The Brownstone School and Daycare Center, Manhattan

The Brownstone School and Daycare Center is a preschool located on the Upper West Side of Manhattan in New York City, at 128 West 80th Street between Amsterdam and Columbus Avenues, half a block from the Museum of Natural History. We were founded in 1963 and chartered by the New York State Board of Regents in 1983. Most of our families live or work on Manhattan's Upper West Side. However, the school has always been strongly committed to families from a variety of cultural, ethnic and economic backgrounds that reflect our diverse society, so families from all over the city have always been a part of The Brownstone.
The Brownstone School and Daycare Center is licensed by the New York City Department of Health and is a member of the Independent Schools Admissions Association of Greater New York (ISAAGNY), the Educational Records Bureau (ERB) and the Parents League of New York. We have been serving the community for 45 years and welcome children ages 2 to 5 years.

Longview School, located in Brewster (50 miles north of NYC) in Putnam County, is a state recognized private school offering K-12 programs. Longview combines rigorous academics in the traditional curriculum with electives hardly ever seen on the pre-K to 12th grade level.
