Sunny Skies Preschool:
With school locations throughout Brooklyn and Manhattan, Sunny Skies Preschool offers a nurturing, carefully-structured educational environment for young children. Our aim is to provide the families we serve with a program that fulfills the educational, emotional and social needs of their children in a fun, loving and safe environment. Sunny skies preschool started off as a childhood dream of its Educational Director, Margarycel Nunez. As a child in the Dominican Republic, she always gathered her friends and stuffed animals for some ‘school-house play’, as years progressed that fantasy became a reality. At the young age of fifteen, just having been in America for two years, she was appointed to be an in-classroom tutor for a learning disabled student in her High School, FDR in Brooklyn.
We strive to teach the whole child at all times and make every moment a learning experience not only for the children in attendance but for the families as well, we all become involved to benefit the children. In Sunny Skies Preschool we take pride in our tradition of excellence for the families we serve.
Our Mission:
Our mission is to educate the whole child by integrating high academics with ethics and socialization. We give all children that come to us the tools they will need beyond their preschool experience, both in their future at school as well as in their personal relationships, understanding the impact that we can have in children’s lives and making every moment into a teachable experience.
Our unique A.V.L.E. (Advancement Via Life Experience) program gives students the opportunity to experience things that happen every day and making those events learning experiences. The core of the curriculum has a “me and the world” approach, which teaches that everyone is valuable and that we can all make a differences in our world. Reading, writing, math, comprehensive skills and social awareness makes A.V.L.E. academically advanced as well.

Gold Material Montessori School in the East Village, NYC, offers a high quality preschool education for children ages 2 to 6. Conveniently located in Alphabet City, between East 3rd and East 4th Streets, we provide full-day and half-day Montessori child care programs for 2, 3, or 5 days per week. Amiguitos Spanish Montessori Program is dedicated to guiding and helping your child grow, in a creative, safe, and loving home environment.Situated on NYC's Upper West Side, we provide Spanish immersion preschool programs to infants and toddlers ages 6 weeks+. Our program focuses not only on the skill development of the children, but also intentionally works to teach the Spanish language.

Harlem Academy, located in East Harlem at 1330 Fifth Avenue in New York City is a private elementary and middle school serving grades one through eight. Our mission is to prepare bright, motivated students for success at top secondary schools and lifelong learning. At our school dedicated families, teachers, and supporters work together to provide educational opportunity to children whose potential might otherwise go unrealized. Established in 2004 with a first grade class of 12 students, one grade is added each year, as the school builds toward a vision for an elementary and middle school program in Harlem that matches the standards of any independent school in New York City.
Harlem Academy’s elementary school program was developed through a grant from the Goldman Sachs Foundation in partnership with Columbia University. This allows access for low and moderate income families based on a sliding scale formula for setting tuition.
- Our curriculum covers Literacy, Mathematics, Arts, Sciences, Athletics and Choice.
- During choice (60 minutes most days), students choose from a range of fun and challenging learning activities, including chess, mancala, painting, performance arts, and construction.

Buffalo Seminary (Sem), located in Buffalo, western New York State, is a private independent college preparatory school for girls offering grades 9-12. Sem is the smallest all-girl school in Western New York, with a student to teacher ratio of 10:1. Therefore, the individual attention is the greatest. Sem is also the only non-religious, all-girls' school in the area, enhancing its diversity. The cozy atmosphere in our newly renovated building is one that is not replicated elsewhere. Located in Astoria, in the northwestern corner of Queens in New York City (NYC), Astoria Dance Centre offers fun and professional dance, acting, piano and voice lessons for boys and girls of all ages and levels, from toddler through to teens. We also offer summer programs. We are proud to serve Queens and NYC areas of Astoria, Long Island City, Sunnyside, Woodside, Jackson Heights, East Elmhurst Corona and Manhattan. Recreational and pre-professional classes at Astoria Dance Centre are designed to ensure correct technique and placement and each student is assigned to a class best suited to her or his age and stage of development. Classes consist of creative playtime, dance together with mom and dad, preschool dance for toddlers and preschoolers, pre-dance, pre-ballet, ballet, tap, jazz, boys dance and modern dance for 5 years upwards and teenagers.
For the serious dance student, Astoria Dance Centre's specialty classes, workshops, performance team, competitions, choreography showcase and summer dance program broaden students' technique and provides them with a style and stage presence that helps prepare them for auditions and professional appearances.
