Beginner to Advanced English Courses in Canada

Eurocentres Canada, Vancouver & Toronto:
Eurocentres Canada is an English language school with locations in Canada's top study destinations of Toronto and Vancouver. Since 1980, we have maintained excellence in providing the highest quality of comprehensive instruction in English as a Second Language (ESL) to international students. We offer a range of English courses including Intensive English, Business English, preparation for the IELTS, TOEFL and TOEIC exams and more. We also offer summer and winter programs for juniors.

English courses offered in Toronto and Vancouver include:

Basic English Course (20 lessons per week):
Ideal for general purposes and for those who like to mix class time and self-study, our morning Basic Course forms the cornerstone of our academic curriculum. Here, you learn and practice the main skills essential for improvement. Be included in engaging and challenging activities carefully designed by your team of teachers. Gain exposure to a range of learning strategies in a stimulating classroom environment. Audiovisual activities and special projects add an extra dimension to your learning experience. After your classes in the morning, you are free to organize your own schedule of self-study and/or leisure.

Class Size: 10-14
Lessons: 20 lessons plus 5 hours self-study in the Learning Centre per week.
Levels: 1-10

Intensive English Course (25 lessons per week):
Our most popular option, the Intensive English Course allows you to combine the fundamental skills learned in the Basic Course with the addition of more focused and specific skills in an afternoon Elective class. The inclusion of an Elective class allows you to learn at an accelerated pace. In fact, Intensive represents a large part of the Eurocentres approach to language learning as you are given the opportunity to focus and refine your knowledge based on an area of importance or your interest. Of course, our Elective classes have been carefully chosen and designed by our experienced curriculum developers with your specific goals and needs in mind.

Class Size: 10-14
Lessons: 25 x 50 minute lessons per week plus 5 hours self-study in the Learning Centre. One elective option (5 x 50 minutes) will be selected by the student.
Levels: 1-10
Elective Options: TOEFL (Levels 4-10), Business English & TOEIC (Levels 2-10), Cambridge (Levels 4-10), Fluency (Levels 1-10)

Super-Intensive English Course (30 lessons per week):
The fastest route to success and to valuable qualifications, our Super-Intensive Course takes the Basic Course as the starting point and uses two afternoon Electives as your focus of interest. With your team of two or three teachers, you will receive the highest level of training and support including a range of feedback and advice regarding all areas of your development. Super-Intensive allows for a highly individualized program. For example, work on your grammar and vocabulary skills in the morning, then develop listening and speaking in the Fluency class and prepare for an international exam in your second Elective. By integrating your interests you can cover all the areas essential for your future plans. Choose the program that maximizes your time while allowing you the flexibility to take control of your learning.

Lessons: 30 x 50 minute lessons per week plus 5 hours self-study per week in the Learning Centre; 2 elective options (5 x 50 minutes each) will be selected by the student.
Levels: 2-10
Elective Options: TOEFL (Levels 4-10), Business English & TOEIC (Levels 2-10), Cambridge (Levels 4-10), Fluency (Levels 1-10) or double Fluency (Levels 1-10)

Exam Preparation Courses:

TOEIC Exam Preparation:
As well as regular practice and preparation, Eurocentres Canada students can register to do the test on campus. That way you can take advantage of a more convenient registration process and take the test in an environment you know.

TOEFL Exam Preparation:
With the new iBT comes a new set of challenges. Our TOEFL preparation curriculum has been designed to meet these demands head-on. In our course you will learn the skills you need as well as brush up on your exam techniques and strategies. Our course is fully interactive and is designed to reflect the nature of the exam itself.

Cambridge Exam Preparation:
Our Cambridge courses allow you to get the most out of your English knowledge. Everything from detailed test preparation to the general improvement of all skills is covered in these rewarding courses. Eurocentres offers both full-time and self-study preparation for the FCE and CAE Cambridge exams. We also offer support, self-study plans and material for the CPE, BEC, PET and KET exams. Our Learning Centre has a broad range of supplementary exam materials for students' use.

Business English Certificate (BEC):
The BEC is ideally suited to those who understand how important a good knowledge of English is in the international business world. The test is available at three different levels (Preliminary, Vantage, and Higher), allowing for a wide range of students to gain valuable skills and qualifications.

Business English Diploma:
The Business English Diploma is available to students enrolling in any of the following programs and meeting the outlined diploma requirements:

- Work & Study Program
- Intensive, or Super-Intensive English course plus a paid work-study at a Canadian company.
- English Plus Professional Training: Basic, Intensive, or Super-Intensive English course plus Professional Training at a Eurocentres Canada partner school.
- English Plus Work Experience / Internship: Basic, Intensive, or Super-Intensive English course plus a work internship with a Canadian company.
- Super-Intensive Course - Business English: 30 lessons per week including Business English Elective (Minimum 12 week course required for Business English Diploma).
- Intensive Course - Business English: 25 lessons per week including Business English Elective (Minimum 12 week course required for Business English Diploma).
