Cork English Academy:
Cork English Academy is an English language school located in the heart of Cork city in the south of Ireland. We offer high-quality English language courses to students from around the world of all levels - from beginner to advanced. Our aim is to provide excellent instruction in the English language in a friendly environment that gives our students the opportunity to use the language with native speakers and practice with each other while gaining a greater understanding of Irish life and culture. Students must to be 18+ years when they start the course.

English Language Courses in Cork:

The daily lessons cover all of the language skills – speaking, listening, reading and writing with an emphasis on speaking and listening.

The main focus of the General English courses is on communication skills in real life settings.
The first part of the lesson usually focuses on accuracy – working on grammar, reading and writing and correcting any homework set.
After a short break the second part of the lesson will usually concentrate on building overall fluency and communicative proficiency. The focus is on speaking, listening, vocabulary building and pronunciation work.

Course books, workbooks and supplementary material including authentic materials such as newspaper articles newspapers, DVDs, the Internet, books and other media are utilized by the teacher to meet the language needs of all the individuals in the class

Level: Elementary (CEF A1) to Advanced (CEF C2)Start Date: You can join this course on any Monday of the year (except where the school is closed due to public holidays where the course then commences on the Tuesday. We provide a social activity in lieu of the classes missed due to public holidays. 

Maximum Class Size: at the moment 15 per class. From January 2018 the maximum class size will be 12.
Average Class Size: 11-12 during the Academic Year, 15 during June July and August
