Arena School of English is happy to arrange accommodation in Dublin for you. We can offer you a choice of three different types of accommodation.
Host Family Accommodation:
We have carefully selected each of our Irish host families to ensure you are provided with friendly and comfortable accommodation. Each host family we select is located within a short bus or tram journey to the School with an average travel time to and from the school of 40 minutes.
City Centre Hostel or Hotel Accommodation:
Avalon House is an excellent international hostel located beside our school. Prices are very reasonable and we can make a booking for you at a discounted price, subject to availability.
City Centre Apartments:
Located within a short walking distance of our school. Prices available on request.
At Arena School of English learning English doesn’t stop when you have finished your class. We have an exciting social programme which gives you the opportunity to use and practise what you have learned in class, mix with other students, meet Irish people and have lots of fun at the same time.
We believe that a quality social and sports programme is a vital component of any English course. It gives you the chance to consolidate and practise English in real life situations, learn more about Irish culture and make your learning experience in Dublin all the more rewarding.
Our social activities are well organised and fun and are a great way to make friends. So whether you like playing football or dancing, visiting museums or taking tours or just enjoying a Guinness in a lively Dublin pub Arena School of English has something to offer you.
Our activities include:
- Irish Pub Nights with Irish music – because of our fantastic central location there are a number of great pubs beside our school
- Guided tours to locations outside Dublin – Glendalough, Howth, Malahide Castle, Cliffs of Moher, Belfast, Galway, Kilkenny.
Cinema
- Tours to cultural and historical sites in Dublin including the Guinness Store House, Dublin Castle and the National Museum of Ireland

It is a city of writers, artists and musicians and is famous all over the world for its literary tradition and writers including James Joyce, Samuel Beckett and Oscar Wilde and also for being the home of the world’s biggest music group – U2.
Today Dublin is a modern, young and vibrant city and also the friendliest capital city in Europe. You can spend the day visiting the cultural and historic sites including Dublin Castle and St Patrick’s Cathedral and then spend the night drinking Guinness and listening to music in one of the many pubs in the exciting Temple Bar area. Dublin is great and we know you will love it!
