Imagine International Preschool:
Located in Yokohama's Landmark Tower in the heart of the city in the Minatomirai area of Nishi-ku ward, Imagine International Preschool is an early childhood education center that provides education for children from ages 18 months to 6 years. All programs are conducted in English. Imagine children are encouraged to think as individuals, use their initiative and have a broad understanding of the world around them. Our convenient location allows us to explore the "real world" around us, including local parks, shopping centers and popular local landmarks. Imagine's facilities are spacious and child-friendly, with an expansive view of the city below us.
Our mission is to nurture children's natural talents and encourage them to be themselves with free and open minds. We believe the determination to live life according to your own will and intention, is linked to attaining happiness.
The key elements to this, fostered through the education which Imagine provides, are:

We affirm that all children who spend their early years at Imagine will contribute greatly and be able to lift themselves up on the world stage.
Imagine opened in July, 2003 as Imagine Child Development Center. Our founder, Hiroki Kinoshita, was inspired to open an early childhood education center that was unique in Japan.
He was impressed by the quality of overseas childcare and the educational possibilities for children in an emergent type curriculum. In collaboration with Kathleen McCartney, a behavioral psychologist at Harvard, Imagine incorporated the Project Approach as our fundamental method for early childhood development.
Through the years, Imagine has continued to develop educational methods to incorporate recent research in the field of early childhood education. In July, 2009, we changed our name to Imagine International Preschool to better reflect the international culture that is evident in the school.

Global Village International Preschool was founded in 2001 in northern Osaka, south of Japan, to accommodate a lack of quality English education for preschool students of all nationalities.At Global Village, children learn and play in an English-speaking environment.While children are taught in English our curriculum incorporates a wide range of learning experiences that provide exposure to various cultures.
Children engage in a variety of activities that bring out strong points of both Western and Japanese cultures such as performing Kamishibai like "Momotaro" and "Kachi-kachi Yama" as well as giving speeches and performances to develop the confidence necessary to speak and act in front of others.

Situated close to the heart of Tokyo's city center, Jingumae International Exchange School (JIES) is an international preschool / primary school catering to the international community that operates alongside a Japanese public elementary school. We follow the British National Curriculum across all disciplines, and provide students with high quality international education in English from ages 3-12.JIES maintains a high teacher to student ratio, and small class sizes meaning our teachers individualise every lesson to the needs and abilities of each student.
Members of our dynamic school community represent over 10 different nationalities which give us a great mixture of different experiences and cultures making JIES a stimulating place for all involved.

Discovery International School in Nagoya, Japan provides Reggio Emilia inspired, play-oriented educational programs in English for preschoolers and afternoon elementary students of all nationalities. The Montessori School of Tokyo (MST) in eastern Japan is proud to provide an internationally recognized curriculum for the international student. MST is the only Montessori Elementary School in Japan accepting students from age 3 to 12. New Hope International Preschool in Tokyo, Japan is an affordable, quality Christian preschool and kindergarten. School hours are from 10:00 to 2:30, Monday through Friday. Some of our graduates enter elementary school in the spring (Japanese schools), while others enter in the fall (international schools). Rather than having a fixed beginning and ending of the school-year, we use three terms. Orientation is held at the beginning of each term (April, January, and September).
