Bonn is located in North Rhine-Westphalia in the West of Germany. Looking back on a history of more than 2000 years, Bonn is one of the oldest cities in Germany. With about 320, 000 citizens Bonn is smaller than other big cities in Germany, but benefits from a nice countryside, good infrastructure and many cultural advantages.
Bonn is located at the Rhine which is one of Germany's most beautiful rivers. Alongside the Rhine the famous Rheinaue wetlands invite visitors to enjoy barbeque and to take a walk through its fascinating landscape.
Bonn is also close to the border of other European countries such as France, the Netherlands and Belgium which you can easily reach by train, airplane or car. Bonn is also connected to the Cologne/Bonn airport which makes travelling to other places and countries very convenient.
