Private schools in Ireland: Independent schools in Dublin City, Cork, Galway, the West of Ireland. International schools, top boarding schools in South Dublin County offering primary school and secondary school education for girls and boys, co-ed (mixed) classes..
Founded in 1973, Rathdown School is a private day and boarding girls' school located on Upper Glenageary Road in Glenageary, just south of Dun Laoghaire in Dublin.
We consist of a Junior School for girls ages 3-12 years and a Senior School for girls ages 12-18 years. A pupil’s name may be entered for the school at any time, although early application is advised.
Rathdown currently has around 600 girls enrolled - 400 in the Senior School and 200 in the Junior School. Class sizes rarely exceed 25, so it is possible to give individual attention and to develop the special abilities and interests of each student. We believe that each student is unique and should be valued for herself.
The school enjoys a superb location and setting, overlooking the sea and with inland views of the Wicklow mountains.
Our academic achievements are outstanding by any measure and the vast majority of our pupils continue to 3rd level education in Ireland and abroad. Rathdown was built on the proud traditions of four original schools: The Hall School, Hillcourt School, Park House School and Glengara Park School.
Parent Testimonial: "She has enjoyed herself immensely and at the same time progressed academically. It has been a great experience. It has been great at all levels."

Rochester Independent College, in the County of Kent, just east of London, offers a distinctive alternative to a conventional sixth form and a stepping stone between school and university.
Established in 1984, we accept day students from the age of 11. Boarding is available for A-level students and Year 11 students on GCSE courses who are aged 16 or older.
Students come to us from all over the UK and the world, as well as the local area. There are no bells ringing, no uniforms and everybody is on first name terms. The College has an atmosphere closer to university than school where students are treated as young adults.
About 65 of the College's 280 students are boarders. Our Halls combine the informality of a university residence with the supervision and pastoral support appropriate for young adults.
The College offers students the opportunity to thrive in an atmosphere of managed independence and acts as a stepping stone between school and university.
Our focus is on examination success in a lively, supportive and informal atmosphere. Students are encouraged to be themselves and achieve exam results that often exceed their expectations. Rochester Independent College is accredited by the ISC (Independent Schools Council).

Brushstrokes Art School provide quality art classes in Ongar, Dublin 15 (close to Blanchardstown) for children between the ages of 6 and 12. Our kids classes take place on Saturday mornings and run on a continuous basis throughout the year. You can join at any time once we have a vacancy in the class of your choice, at 11am or 12.15pm
Our art classes for children are designed to ensure a balance between the innate abilities that all children possess, while also creating a relaxed and fun learning environment that allows for natural and structured progression at their own pace. They work with water-based paints, pastels, pencils and paper. Some children also work with oil paints.
We work with them and introduce them to different drawing and colouring techniques and we guide them to choose their own compositions. We don't enforce our views but allow them to take on board the techniques as it suits them.
