Child Educational Center (CEC):
The Child Educational Center (CEC) is located in La Canada, between Pasadena and Glendale in Los Angeles County, CA and offers infant, preschool and school-age programs for children from 2 months to 12 years from La Canada, Glendale, Altadena and neighbouring communities. Enrollment is open to any child 2 months to 5 years of age for our Infant/Toddler and Preschool program and any child entering kindergarten through 6th grade for our School-Age program without discrimination in regard to sex, race, color, or creed. The CEC has been continuously accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) since 1989 shortly after accreditation became available.

Location and Facilities:
The CEC is located in La Canada, California, between Pasadena and Glendale. The majority of our families live in the Los Angeles County communities of Pasadena, Altadena, South Pasadena, La Canada, La Crescenta and Glendale. Our Infant/Toddler and Preschool program, administrative office and one School-Age site are located at 140 Foothill Boulevard. Our four other School-Age sites are located at La Canada Elementary School, Palm Crest Elementary School (La Canada), Paradise Canyon Elementary School (La Canada) and 250/256 S. Michigan Avenue (Caltech Campus, Pasadena).

Ecole Bilingue de Berkeley

Ecole Bilingue de Berkeley is a French-English bilingual school in south-west Berkeley in northern Alameda County in the East Bay region of California. We provide a bilingual, international environment where children from preschool through to eighth grade are cared for, stimulated and challenged. We are the oldest bilingual school in the East Bay area. Our graduates go on to top high schools and colleges, and at last count they had lived, worked, and studied in 47 countries worldwide. We offer students a well-balanced program that combines the best of the French and American educational approaches. We also provide a wide range of services to enrich students' educational experience.
We offer families a strong sense of community. The closely-knit “family” of the school is vital in creating a nurturing environment for our children. Our international atmosphere and inclusiveness comes through in events that celebrate the wonderfully varied backgrounds of our students.
Since we first opened our doors in 1977, enrollment has grown from 55 students to 525, and the number of languages we offer has increased from two to five (English, French, Spanish, Mandarin, and Latin).

The Jewish Family Preschool and Parenting Center of Congregation Beth Sholom is located on 14th Avenue (corner of Clement Street) in San Francisco, and offers high-quality, innovative secular and Jewish education for children and their families. We provide excellent teacher to child ratios, experienced, nurturing and highly qualified staff, clergy participation in Shabbat service and other Jewish holiday celebrations, access to resources and programming of Congregation Beth Sholom, child development specialist available for individual consultation and a resource library.Our child-directed curriculum provides a framework that invites children to observe, make choices and experiment, thus developing a sense of competence and initiative. Although our program is informal and flexible, the curriculum is carefully planned and based on the principle of organized free choices. Centers of Learning is a private Christian school situated on a beautiful campus in the San Fernando Valley in Los Angeles serving families in North Hills West, North Hills East, Mission Hills, Granada Hills and surrounding communities. The GeoKids / Menlo Survey Child Development Center is an accredited, nationally recognized, non-profit parent co-operative providing high quality child care for children aged 3 months through to pre-kindergarten (5 years). The center is located on the Menlo Park, CA campus of the United States Geological Survey (USGS) in San Mateo County, and is supported in part by the General Services Administration (GSA) and the USGS.GeoKids is a developmental play-based program founded on the belief that children are capable, competent, self-motivated learners. Caterpillar Cottage Preschool, in the Los Angeles district of Encino, southern San Fernando Valley, is a neighborhood-based early childhood education school that provides a play-based preschool program with an eclectic curriculum for kids ages 2.5 - 5 years.Our school is located in Lake Balboa at 17214 Cantlay Street. Located in Costa Mesa, Orange County CA, Coastal Children's Learning Center provides preschool and Pre-K classes for children ages 18 months to 6 years. Our program is a learn-through-play, developmental course which follows the High Scope Curriculum. We are licensed for 39 children and have 8 staff members, and strive to maintain a low ratio of 1:8. We also offer a day care service.We believe that learning is most effective for children when it is provided through ‘play’. Play is the child’s work, where education is life. With this in mind, we will provide intellectual stimulation through a variety of new experiences where the teacher becomes a facilitator to problem solving in each child’s world.
