French Language Programs in NYC:
Beginner, Intermediate, Intermediate Advanced & Advanced levels, Workshops, Private and Corporate Courses, French Proficiency Exams (TEF), French lessons for Children (Mini-Immersion Programs, Workshop, Summer Camps)
Master the fundamentals of French through a new method emphasizing task-language learning that is based on the Common European Framework (CEF). Courses focus on conversational French with active student participation using videos and interactive exercises.
Basic A1 (RP 101-102) and Basic A2 (RP 103-201)
Speak French from Day 1! Build a solid foundation in the French language. Authentic situational exercises introduce you to the basic structures and usage of language to manage everyday life.
Independent B1 (RP 202-205) and Independent B2 (RE 301-306)
Level 200 continues to reinforce oral & written communication skills, emphasizing everyday topics.
Level 300 gives students the opportunity to deepen their knowledge and to practice both oral and written expression and comprehension through socio-cultural themes. Level 300 courses can be taken in any order to better suit your schedule.
Focus on French Skills:
Strengthen your language skills from A2 to B2 levels with courses based on active conversation, reading and grammar review. Courses include: Theater Classes, French with TV5, Conversation, Grammar, combined Conversation & Grammar, Phonetics, Reading & Discussion (current events, film or literature) and DELF-DALF Exam preparation.
Thematic Courses:
Advanced students can explore French culture through a variety of specialized courses that focus on specific topics including: Literature, Film, History, Economics & Politics, Culture, and Acting & Performing.
Workshops:
Delve deeper into French culture through intensive specialized workshops such as Theater, Cook in French, French Slang, Phonetics, and Bon Voyage Immersion.
Private French Lessons
Starting any time during the year, FIAF Language Center provides individual instruction to learn French as a Second Language. Lessons are tailored to address your particular needs and are taught by trained French native-speakers.
