Immaculate Heart School, Los Angeles:
Immaculate Heart is an independent, Catholic, college preparatory school for girls, governed by a board of trustees located at the corner of Franklin and Western Avenues on seven acres of beautiful hillside property in the Los Feliz area of Los Angeles, overlooking Hollywood. We attract very talented and highly motivated young women who represent the religious, ethnic, and socio-economic diversity of the City of Los Angeles and its suburbs. We are accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. Our students are immersed in an exciting and challenging curriculum that inspires a love of learning while demanding the focus and self-discipline necessary for success in college and beyond. We also have a wide spectrum of extracurricular activities designed to help students to explore their interests and to tap into their special gifts and talents. Our school admits students of any race, color, national or ethnic origin.

Middle School and Upper School Program For Girls:
The academic program at Immaculate Heart School has been designed with an understanding of the developmental and intellectual needs of the adolescent. Students are exposed to a wide range of learning opportunities. Field trips are also a part of their experience. By enabling students to explore and gain an understanding of science, mathematics, language, and the arts, Immaculate Heart hopes to instill in its students a sense of responsibility whereby they realize their importance in society.

The realization that learning is a "lifetime endeavor" is also strongly embraced. Essentially, Immaculate Heart strives to help its students grow into women of great heart and right conscience. Young women are challenged to think clearly, to choose wisely, and to acquire those values and inner resources that characterize mature, loving and productive members of our society.

Past electives have included:
Chorus, Dance, Drama, Leadership, Newspaper, Speech, Sports, Water Polo, Weaving and Yearbook.

Enrichment:
Immaculate Heart encourages students to participate in a wide range of co-curricular experiences that are designed to sharpen their skills and to broaden their perspective of the world around them.

Athletics:
The goal of Immaculate Heart School's Athletic Program is to provide students with the opportunity to participate and compete in interscholastic athletics. Immaculate Heart encourages a healthy competitive attitude and takes great pride in success and winning. It is the goal of the Athletic Department to field teams that reflect the school's philosophy and mission and exemplify what it means to be a part of the Immaculate Heart school community. Immaculate Heart competes in the Delphic league and in seven sports.

Co-educational Summer Program:
Immaculate Heart School offers a summer program to meet the varied needs of students who will enter grades 6, 7, and 8 in the coming school season. Students may select three courses from the list of review and enrichment offerings. Classes are non-credit, but grades are given.
