Immaculate Heart School, Los Angeles:
Immaculate Heart is an independent, Catholic, college preparatory school for girls, governed by a board of trustees located at the corner of Franklin and Western Avenues on seven acres of beautiful hillside property in the Los Feliz area of Los Angeles, overlooking Hollywood. We attract very talented and highly motivated young women who represent the religious, ethnic, and socio-economic diversity of the City of Los Angeles and its suburbs. We are accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. Our students are immersed in an exciting and challenging curriculum that inspires a love of learning while demanding the focus and self-discipline necessary for success in college and beyond. Outside the Classroom:

Immaculate Heart encourages students to participate in a wide range of co-curricular experiences that are designed to sharpen their skills and to broaden their perspective of the world around them. Some of these include:

* Field Trips:
Students expand their classroom learning experience with trips throughout the year to areas of interest including: The Will Greer Theatricum Botanicum, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, the Huntington Library, retreat centers, the Norton Simon Museum, the Music Center, the Pacific Aquarium, Olvera Street, A Noise Within Theatre, and the Bilingual Arts Foundation Theater. Sixth graders experience a four-day outdoor education trip at Camp Highland.

* Retreats:
Photos of Immaculate Heart School, Los Angeles Each class participates in a day-long retreat held off-campus. Retreats focus on friendship and caring for one another as students explore their relationship with God.

* Chorus:
Chorus class is held after school for those who wish to perform at the Christmas Concert, December Open House and Academic Awards Night. Students also perform at the school prayer services and liturgies.

* Camp Highland:

The sixth graders enjoy a four-day science trip to Camp Highland in the San Bernadino Mountains. Activities include canoeing, rock climbing, archery and hiking.

* Family Heritage Day:

Students recognize and celebrate their cultural diversity during this annual event. Wearing ethnic dress, they share their family heritage through music, dance, stories and a vast array of international foods.

Community Outreach:

The student body adopts primary grade students from a local elementary school and annually hosts a Halloween Carnival, a Christmas Program and an Easter Egg Hunt for them. Students also participate in projects assisting children from Alexandria House and Covenant House and retirees at Holly Royal. Food drives are held and donations are sent to area distribution centers.

Menlo School in Menlo Park in San Mateo County, near the heart of Silicon Valley, is an accredited, independent, co-educational college preparatory day school for students in grades 6–12. Established in 1915, Menlo School offers a rigorous, engaging academic curriculum complemented by outstanding creative arts and athletics programs. Lycée Français La Pérouse, Bay Area

The Lycée is a PK to 12th grade college preparatory school in the San Francisco Bay Area which is based on the French national curriculum augmented by courses in American History, English Literature and Visual Arts. It provides a challenging educational environment, emphasizing academic achievement leading to the French Baccalaureate.

Designed to provide our students with a structured, well-assimilated body of general knowledge while encouraging the development of analytical and critical thinking skills, the curriculum fosters autonomy, initiative, self-respect and the respect of others, cooperation and responsibility. In addition, by becoming bilingual, our students become aware of and respect cultural differences. Centers of Learning is a private Christian school situated on a beautiful campus in the San Fernando Valley in Los Angeles serving families in North Hills West, North Hills East, Mission Hills, Granada Hills and surrounding communities.
