The University Al Akhawayn University in Ifrane (AUI), Morocco was established in 1993 by Royal Dahir and opened it doors to students in January 1995 with a completely modern and networked campus. The outlook is international and tolerance is promoted and expected of students, staff, and faculty members belonging to over 25 nationalities who live and work together.
Our Mission:
The mission of the Office of International Programs (OIP) is to expand international awareness, promote productive intercultural interaction, and foster tolerance and sensitivity in AUI students, faculty and administration.
Role at AUI:
The OIP brings a global perspective to the AUI curriculum by organizing and overseeing all aspects of international study for both incoming scholars and AUI students studying outside of Morocco. Programs within the OIP provide the environment necessary for multicultural enhancement at academic and social levels.
The Office of International Programs offers:

- Advise and support for international students, faculty, and guests
- Study abroad and exchange Programs

Participants have unlimited internet access in rooms and computer labs, access to the library, the Student Health Center, and sports facilities including the swimming pool. Qalam wa Lawh is an academic institution with a reputation for excellence in providing a comprehensive program for the study of Arabic as a foreign Language as well as introductions to Arab and Moroccan culture. Arabic courses taught at Qalam wa Lawh emphasize building a solid foundation in communication skills and are designed to ensure learners are confident using the language that they are being taught. Situated in the Sidi Bou Said district, just 30 minutes from downtown Tunis, the Center Sidi Bou Said for Languages has been offering beginner to advanced level Arabic language courses since 2008 to students from around the globe. Courses include full-year Arabic Term programs, Private Arabic courses, and short-term Intensive Seasonal programs in the Spring, Summer and Winter. We also provide courses in English, French, Spanish, Italian, Japanese, and Chinese.

Students can choose between Modern Standard Arabic (MSA) or Colloquial Moroccan Arabic (CMA) with courses available year-round.
