Music lessons for kids & adults in Central Toronto

ABC Academy of Music, Toronto:
Since 2004 ABC Academy of Music (originally Wychwood Music School) in Central Toronto, Ontario has been offering private lesson instruction for most common instruments, and voice/singing. While no curriculum is set, students may choose a course of study which can be enjoyment based or have set goals, such as Royal Conservatory examinations, University admissions, or entrance into programs like the National Youth Orchestra of Canada. We believe in accommodating individual students on the basis not only of their needs, but also their desires.

Instruments available include: Piano, Violin, Viola, Guitar, Electric Guitar, Electric Bass, Cello, Music Theory, Flute, Clarinet, Saxophones, Drums, Trumpet, Trombone, Tuba, Baritone, Euphonium, Vocal, Singing, Oboe, Harp. Other instruments are available on request.

Every student is different. Our approach is to identify and accommodate these differences to ensure that every student is having fun at their own pace.

When you register you are guaranteed a weekly timeslot for the semester, which means that you can count on consistency of time, and of location, and of teacher. We know that sometimes students get sick or have some other commitment come up, so we ensure that there is an opportunity for make-up lessons at the end of each semester by building in an extra week specifically for that.

We also regularly have student recitals to give our students the opportunity to show off their talents!
