The British International School of New York (BIS-NY), located in stunning waterfront facilities on Waterside Plaza, Manhattan, New York, is a British (UK), independent, co-ed, school offering the International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years teaching methodology to students ages 3 -14. Education Programs for Children Ages 3-14:

Primary Years Programme:
- Nursery to Year 6 (5th grade):
The school’s distinctive curriculum combines the best of British education (the National Curriculum of England & Wales) with the teaching methodology of the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (IBPYP).

Key Stage 3:
- Year 7 - 9 (6th - 8th grade):
The Key Stage 3 (KS3) programme is taught from the National Curriculum of England and Wales.

International Admissions:
The British International School of New York welcomes applications from students at all times of the academic year, and is also certified by the Student Exchange Visitor Program to issue Form I-20s to students requiring F-1 student visas. Private Tours of both the River View and Plaza View Campuses are available year round, a tour will allow you to see the school in action and learn more about our curriculum and program.

It is very important in the early years of formal education to give pupils a sense of the well-being and fulfilment that comes from physical exercise and participation in the arts. Music, art, drama and physical education are actively taught and encouraged by talented and dedicated teachers. Our pupils swim once a week along with their two physical education lessons.

One lesson takes place on-site and may take advantage of the indoor facilities of the Waterside gym. Friday is games day, all children from Year 1 upwards spend an hour at the games fields learning team sports skills, including cricket and rounders.

Conveniently located in Waterside Plaza, (23rd St, and the East River), Manhattan, New York City, the British International School has a bright multi-function play / lunch space, a swimming pool as well as separate upper and lower school playgrounds. The School comprises of three buildings all filled with natural light in large classrooms, the majority of which have water views. The School is fortunate to have a quiet and safe cul-de-sac for student drop off, and parking available within the complex for parents who wish to bring their children to school or attend school events.
