Prince of Wales Island International School is a private day and boarding school in the township of Botanica in Pulau Penang, Malaysia, that teaches the British secondary school system to children from ages 11 to 18, leading to Cambridge International (CIE) IGCSE and A level examinations. Our teachers are mostly recruited from British schools and have years of experience teaching this curriculum. If your child’s English is not very confident we can help by offering special support lessons. Located in Christchurch, New Zealand, this is a boarding and day school of the highest quality. Rangi Ruru Girls' School is one of New Zealand's top achieving schools, offering independent Intermediate (Year 7 and 8) and Secondary (Years 9 to 13) education for Day and Boarding students. New Zealand's national qualification for secondary school learners is the National Certificate of Educational Achievement - NCEA. Internatonal students are welcome. International students who do not have English as their first language will usually be asked to sit an assessment test in Christchurch, to determine whether they are ready to study in mainstream classes. All international students are mainstreamed and they must have the English skills to cope with classroom and homework tasks. Note: Entry to senior classes (Years 11-13) requires a higher level of English than entry to junior classes.
