Why Choose Phil-Mont Christian Academy?

- Committment to Upholding Christian Values

We uphold the Bible as the living core of the Academy’s program by ensuring that every subject in our curriculum is taught from a distinctly Christian perspective. Every subject in our curriculum is taught from a distinctly Christian perspective and in relation to the Word of God.  From the classroom to the chemistry lab, on the playing field and the stage, our beliefs are central to the pursuit of excellence.

- Our Proud Christian Faculty
Our outstanding faculty is composed of committed Christians, 47 percent of whom hold advanced degrees, and whose average tenure with Phil-Mont is 13 years.  Our small class sizes and 9:1 student-teacher ratio ensure that each student gets the attention he or she requires in order to excel academically.

- Proven Record
The results speak for themselves: 98 percent of our graduates go on to four-year colleges, with 75 percent receiving at least one award or scholarship, and 50 percent graduating as members of the National Honor Society. Perhaps the greatest evidence of our success however lies in the generations of graduates who have gone forth in the world as thoughtful, responsible, and biblically literate stewards of God’s gifts and callings.

- Unique, Bible-driven Teaching Method

We uphold the Bible as the living core of the academy’s program. We believe and want the children attending Phil-Mont to know that God gives us every word found in the Bible. We want them to understand that they have the actual Word of God in their hands and that it is the supreme authority. We desire to see the children attending Phil-Mont accept the word of God and obey it. We believe that the strength of God's word in the lives of the students gives them a foundation from which they can test all ideas that come their way.

Committed to the Arts and Athletics:

- Arts at PMCA

Wonder, beauty, and awe are words which describe how students witness God's majesty through studies in the fine arts at Phil-Mont. Instrumental music, choral music, painting, drawing, sculpting and the theatre arts become venues for student expression and creativity. Our students don't simple perform artistically; they learn the discipline and purpose of artistic expression. The Phil-Mont theatre arts department, recognized as one of the finest in the area, produces musicals and classical dramatic productions concluding its school year with a very popular Shakespeare Festival. Phil-Mont is committed to the arts, believing the students' artistic expressions promote a well-rounded education.

- Athletics at PMCA
Phil-Mont brings the spirit of athletic competition to all students who desire to participate, not just to the exceptional athlete. In an average year three fourths of our students participate in one of our sports which include: cross country, tennis, soccer, wrestling, basketball, baseball, softball, and track. Our coaches are recruited in order to teach fundamental skills to athletes as they emphasize good sportsmanship and Christ-like character development. Coaching doesn't end at the last whistle of the game; it is pervasive as coaches care about the players personally and strive to bring practical life experiences to the athletes whenever possible. Developing skills, learning the value of working faithfully and hard, team play and the delight found in competition become part of the experience for all students who participate.
