Brazil in Chicago:
Brazil in Chicago, located in Lincoln Square, Chicago’s most diverse neighborhood, Illinois, is a Portuguese language school offering private tutoring and group classes, at your place or at our center. Portuguese I:
Introduction to Portuguese. The basics of the Portuguese language: Even you have been exposed to Portuguese language before, we strongly recommend this for a solid foundation needed as you continue studying the language.

Portuguese II:
Once you have had the foundations, it’s time to develop the grammar into more complex structures; expand your vocabulary and practice more conversation.

Portuguese III:
At this point Portuguese is spoken most the time. With the most used verb tenses covered, the students are prepared to start engaging in conversations with others in the classroom.

Intermediate Portuguese:
Here the student is prepared to participate in a setting where only Portuguese is spoken in class. The last two tenses from the Indicative are finally covered.

Advanced Portuguese I:
The Subjunctive (Present and Past) is finally introduced and this is when the students start talking about more complex stories and hypothetical situations.

Advanced Portuguese II:
With the Future Subjunctive and the compound tenses, the student is now able to talk about not only “what happened” or “will happen”, but also “what would have happened if they had done something differently”.

Bate-Papo (Conversation Class):
Practice, expand and solidify what you have learned. Much more than chatting, here the student will be able to fill in the gaps from the previous courses. Every week a different topic is discussed, thus allowing the student to be exposed to different vocabulary and the instructor to see which topics of grammar need to be reviewed/developed.

Portuguese for Kids:
Young children can acquire native-like fluency as easily as they learned to walk. Where adults have to work through an established first-language system, studying explicit grammar rules and practicing rote drills, the young kids learn naturally, absorbing the sounds, structures, intonation patterns and rules of a second language intuitively, as they did their mother tongue. The young brain is inherently flexible, uniquely hard-wired to acquire language naturally.
