Professor Jie Wang teaches in the Department of Managerial Studies and the MBA Program at the University of Illinois at Chicago. A native of Beijing, Dr. Wang has also taught Beginning, Intermediate, and Advanced Chinese as well as independent study courses in Chinese language and culture at the University of North Dakota and the University of Illinois at Chicago. In addition to teaching, he manages Chinese Language Service, whose Chinese-learning and translation clients range from multinational corporations to individuals. Professor Hong Chen, also from Beijing, teaches Chinese language, film, and literature at Loyola University Chicago and previously taught Chinese at the University of North Dakota. Besides teaching regular university courses, Dr. Wang and Prof. Chen offer corporate training as well as group and private lessons in Mandarin. The Japan America Society of Chicago, located in the Chicago Loop, Illinois, is a not-for-profit, nonpartisan, nonpolitical association offering 8 levels of Japanese language courses. Each level of Japanese is tailored to the level of expertise and type of study required by students. Study English at The College of Chicago! We offer English language programs including English as a Second Language Program and TOEFL Prep intensive Program. Small classes, individual feedback on your speaking and writing, every hour is a contact hour with a teacher - not lab time. Staff and teachers provide a welcoming and supportive environment to build your English skills and reach your goals.
Our TOEFL curriculum reflects our commitment to preparing students for American colleges and universities by using college materials.
