First School of the Desert:
First School of the Desert provides a successful and well established approach to preschool education. First School offers preschool / childcare programs at three Southern California city locations. Our campuses are conveniently located throughout the Coachella Valley in Cathedral City, Palm Springs and La Quinta in Riverside County. Your child will experience an intimate learning atmosphere unparalleled by any other desert preschool program, in an environment of perfect balance of academic and social instruction. Each child will be academically prepared and socially adjusted to face the challenges in the elementary school years.

Preschool / Childcare Programs:
First School Palm Springs and First School Cathedral City enroll children as young as 24 months and teach and care for children through the pre-kindergarten years. First School La Quinta starts enrollment of children as young as 18 months and teaches and cares for children through their pre-kindergarten years.

Our program is designed to give your child a solid academic foundation. In addition to the academic approach we develop your children's social skills. Combining our emphasis on academic and social skills leads to well-balanced results. Your child will be academically prepared and socially adjusted to confront the challenges they will face in the elementary school years.

We have designed a stimulating and creative atmosphere. Our small class size will encourage your child to listen, learn and interact with our skilled staff. Each class is tailored for your children's specific age. In addition to embarking on an education through a structured program, your child will learn the important skill of socialization among his or her peers. All activities are exciting learning experiences. First School has been created to meet the great community need for quality full-time preschool and child care.

Schedules include:
Part-weekly as well as full time care. You have the choice of a two day (Tuesday & Thursday) schedule, three day (Monday, Wednesday & Friday) schedule or five day (Monday through Friday) schedule. We are open year-round.
