Meals and Snacks:
At Sage Garden Montessori we maintain a No Junk Food policy. We serve our students a primarily Vegetarian diet full of color, flavor and nutrition.We only serve water, dairy or soymilk and 100% juice to our students, never ever serving beverages containing high fructose corn syrup. We prepare our meals from scratch using the freshest ingredients and use processed foods sparingly. Great care goes into the planning and preparation of our meals. We believe that the body is our temple and that we must nourish it well in order to do our best work and to be in optimal health.
Our meals are very simple as to slowly introduce children to different flavors and textures. We know that toddlers are the pickiest of all natures creatures and have designed our menu to accommodate them. We will never force a child to eat, but we will insist that if they refuse to eat they will sit quietly at the table while their friends enjoy their meal in peace. This encourages the development on good table manners and respect of others during meal times.
