The Scottsdale School:
The Scottsdale School is located in Scottsdale, north of Phoenix in Maricopa County, Arizona. The Scottsdale School is the oldest private school in Scottsdale, offering a complete preschool and kindergarten curriculum. Our preschool begins at age two and goes to age five for Jr. Kindergarten. Sr. Kindergarten children age from five to six. In addition we provide summer camp and after school care for students and elementary-age children. We take a balanced approach to early childhood development in the mental, physical, social and spiritual areas.

Preschool and Kindergarten Programs for Children Ages 2-6:

Preschool:
Preschool curriculums are designed with emphasis on developmentally appropriate academics which include, but are not limited to, the following:

* Letter and number recognition,
* Phonics,
* Manipulatives,
* Arts and crafts,
* Music,
* Health and safety,
* Bible study,
* Spanish, and
* Social skills.

Kindergarten:
Kindergarten is a full-day program (from 8:45 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.) that reinforces and strengthens skills in subjects such as Reading/Literacy, Writing, Math, Science, Social Studies, Bible, Spanish and Music.

The class emphasizes phonics and phonograms. The number of Kindergarten students is kept small each year to ensure the teacher/child ratio allows for ample 1-on-1 time between the teacher and each student.

All classroom environments focus on self-esteem and positive reinforcement. Programs offered are geared to foster opportunities for daily success for each and every child.

After School Care:
We provide after school care for elementary-age children.

Music:
A part of our regular curriculum, The Scottsdale School offers a weekly music program for all students in attendance that are taught by a certified music specialist. Classes are 30 minutes long and are age appropriate.

Spanish
We also offer a Spanish program for the pre-kindergarten and kindergarten classes twice a week as part of our regular curriculum. This class introduces beginning Spanish through games, songs, arts and crafts, and story-telling.

Other Activities:

We also offer dance, karate, gymnastics and yoga classes.

Summer Camp
:

The program is thematic with exciting entertainment brought right to the school. The special guests include, but are not limited, to the AZ Puppet Theater, the Fire Deptartment, Magicians, Musicians, Clowns, Science Museums, Petting Zoo and Story Tellers.

Elementary age children are offered a different style of program, which takes them out on an adventure every day. The variety of activities keeps the campers excited and busy. The field trips include, but are not limited to:

Located just north of Phoenix in Glendale, Maricopa County, Arizona, On Stage Dance Academy offers dance, voice, keyboard and guitar lessons for children, teenagers and adults. Dance Classes include ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, tumbling and acrobat, leaps and turns as well as hip hop. As part of voice training all levels and styles of music such as classical, rock, pop, broadway, country, etc are taught. In our keyboard and guitar lessons students learn theory, performance techniques, and how to read music in the desired area of classical, rock, rhythm and blues, pop or country music.
