Bay Area Singing Lessons provides singing voice lessons, workshops and artist development for children and adults in the San Francisco Bay Area through the expert instruction of Amanda Dieck. We are located in Campbell, a suburb of San Jose in Santa Clara County. As well as private vocal instruction, Amanda provides classes that focus on musical and theatrical performance.She works with beginners to advanced professionals. Amanda has worked with all vocal skill levels and specializes in vocal health and performance delivery. She also emphasizes sight reading, breath control, diagnosis and correction of vocal faults and vocal stylization. Private Vocal Instruction:
Private vocal instruction begins with a free consultation so Amanda can obtain a detailed idea of your personal and vocal goals. Students of vocal instruction will also receive weekly exercises and a recorded CD of songs and exercises to practice between lessons. Most beginner students start with a 30 minute lesson once per week. More advanced students benefit from 60 minutes lessons once per week.

Each student's voice and goals are different. Therefore at Bay Area Singing Lessons, Amanda works with each client in order to develop a customized plan to master basic vocal technique and achieve his or her performance goals.

Classes:

* Broadway Kids:  Broadway Kids is a 6 week course that offers musical and lite theatrical training in kid-size form for children ages 6-9. The class emphasiszes vocal training for performance singing and personal pleasure, but also teaches the students about the vocal elements in acting and singing while dancing. Students will learn how to incorporate all of their Broadway tools in a mini-performance. Lots of fun!

* Beginning Vocals:  You can sing! This beginning course helps students learn healthy vocal teImage of Singing Lessons in the San Francisco Bay Areachniques and how to use their voice to its fullest potential. Learn breath control and voice placement, tone, phrasing and pitch as well as basic music theory, building confidence, and picking audition material, all while having fun! Students exercise their vocal muscles through group and individual work for personal enjoyment, auditioning and performing. Sing Now!

- Beginning Vocals - Youth (8-15 years)
- Beginning Vocals - Adult

* Voice for the Musical Stage:  Instructs beginning vocal students in:

• Healthy vocal techniques.
• Breath control.
• Voice placement.
• Audition piece selection.
• Places to audition.

Students exercise their vocal muscles through group and individual work.

* Triple Threat:  A triple threat is a performer who can act, sing, and dance. In this class young performers build skills in all three areas by working on:

• Monologues.
• Musical theatre songs.
• Basic theatre dance.

* Writing and Performing Your Own Song:  Students will learn:

• Subject choice.
• Song formats.
• Rhyming vs. not.
• Ways to find one's own voice.
• So it's written...so what?

Workshops:
