Founded by parents and teachers in 1971, Live Oak draws families from Portrero, Central East, Mission District and other communities throughout the Peninsula. Live Oak occupies 31,000 square feet of buildings on Mariposa Street directly across from the city's Jackson Park. The sunny Potrero Hill location is easily reached from neighborhoods across the city and from the Peninsula.
