Founded in 1979, Centro de Estudios de Español (CEE) is a Spanish language school in Barcelona, Spain. We offer a wide range of interesting and highly informative Spanish courses to foreigners including intensive Spanish, DELE exam preparation classes and private Spanish lessons. We also offer tailor-made programmes designed for school groups.

Accreditation:
Our Spanish language centre is accredited by Instituto Cervantes in Spain and recognized by AFTIE, which means it meets certain quality standards in the teaching of Spanish and has adequate teaching resources and teaching plan that guarantees satisfactory progress.

The school is located in the centre of Barcelona, in Roger de Llúria street within the so-called Quadrat d´Or (Modernist Golden rectangle), just two blocks from Passeig de Gràcia Avenue considered to be one of the mosth fashionable ones in Barcelona and from La Pedrera, a quirky creation by genious Antoni Gaudí.

The school has excellent connections with the rest of the city by frequent public transport such as metro and bus. There are 2 metro stations just steps from the school. There is no better place to learn Spanish in Spain.

Facilities:
The school has 13 well-equipped and comfortable classrooms specially designed to guarantee a high level of comfort for small groups Spanish courses (maximum 10 students per class). Students have free access to the conference room, the library and the lounge area. Barna House cooperates with all kinds of European institutions, chambers of commerce and international institutions.

There are various accommodation options available to our students including:

Homestay Programs:
It is often students from the school itself who decide to host foreign students (mainly young students) in their own homes. It is a good way for both the student and host to practice language and find out more about each other´s countries and culture.

The families who usually work with us live near the school and if public transport is needed, their houses are no further than four underground stations away. Cee will always have visited the host families beforehand. Students always book a specific type of accommodation: a single room with half-board (full board is only requested by very young students or students with restrictive diet needs). The host family is in charge of providing the students with breakfast and dinner from Monday to Friday and during the weekend they are provided with all meals at their host´s house (full board: breakfast, lunch and dinner). The total price also includes laundry and cleaning.
