Welbeck Defence Sixth Form College:
Welbeck Defence Sixth Form College is a co-educational, residential sixth-form boarding college in Loughborough in Leicestershire, Central England. One of the top colleges in the country, Welbeck offers a two-year A-level education for students wishing to pursue an engineering based career in the Army, Royal Navy, Royal Air Force and MOD (Ministry of Defence) Civil Service. The college accommodates around 340 students on a superbly equipped, ultra-modern campus.

In particular, Welbeck College:

Lower Sixth Curriculum:
All Lower Sixth students study four AS level subjects. Mathematics and Physics are compulsory. Most of the courses available for Welbeck MOD students at University are engineering based and will therefore require Mathematics and Physics. Mathematics will be studied for six one-hour periods per week, (one per day), with an additional half hour of prep every night. All other subjects are taught for five periods a week.
Upper Sixth Curriculum:
All Upper Sixth students are encouraged to drop an AS level and take up an enrichment subject. In exceptional circumstances, a student may carry on with four A levels.
AS & A-Level Courses:
All of the subjects offered for AS and A Level courses at Welbeck are designed to allow students to develop their scientific skills and/or to develop a broader range of knowledge and understanding.
