The house system provides stability and the fact that the houses comprise of both Boarding and Day pupils means that all of the pupils in the houses interact in every area of school life. Day pupils benefit from the huge range of activities and superb facilities while Boarders can enjoy friendships that extend well beyond the school gates and into the local community.
There are six houses spread across the Christ College campus including:
Alway House:
A junior boarding and day house for boys and girls in Years 7 and 8. Moving up to a senior school can be quite a daunting experience. In Alway House we aim to provide a friendly and secure environment in which boys and girls in the first two years can develop both individually and as part of a team.
De Winton House:
Senior boarding and day houses for girls in Years 9 to 13. In 1985, after a long history as a successful boys' school, Christ College went co-educational in the Sixth Form and de Winton House was built with that purpose in mind. Then in 1995 the school started to take girls from the age of 11 and at that point de Winton changed its role, becoming home to girls from the age of 13 upwards.
Donaldson's House:
Senior boarding and day houses for girls in Years 9 to 13. In September 1998 Donaldson's became the second senior girls boarding house at Christ College. Completely refurbished to tailor the needs of the "new" inhabitants, Donaldson's provides a warm, comfortable environment in which to both work and play.
Orchard House:
Senior boarding and day houses for boys in Years 9 to 13. Orchard House is the smallest of the three senior boys boarding houses, and is located on the edge of the school campus, a few minutes’ walk from the main classroom block, the Sports Hall, and Dining Halls. There are around 45 boys in the house, predominantly boarders, and the accommodation is an eclectic mix of ancient and modern.

Fulneck School, located in Leeds, West Yorkshire (44 miles from Manchester) in the north of England is an independent school offering nursery, junior, senior and sixth form education from the ages of 3-18. Located in the County of Kent, just east of London, Rochester Independent College (RIC) is a progressive alternative to conventional secondary education with a happily distinctive ethos. Accepting day students from the age of 11 and boarders from 16, the focus is on exam success in a lively, supportive and informal atmosphere. Students are encouraged to be themselves and achieve exam results that often exceed their expectations.
The College has an atmosphere closer to university than school. About 65 of the College's 280 students are boarders. Our Halls combine the informality of a university residence with the supervision and pastoral support appropriate for young adults.

Welbeck Defence Sixth Form College is a co-educational, residential sixth-form boarding college in Loughborough in Leicestershire, Central England. One of the top colleges in the country, Welbeck offers a two-year A-level education for students wishing to pursue an engineering based career in the Army, Royal Navy, Royal Air Force and MOD (Ministry of Defence) Civil Service. The college accommodates around 340 students on a superbly equipped, ultra-modern campus. The tuition is free, although parents may have to contribute towards living expenses. Moffats is a family-owned, co-educational independent day and boarding school in England that caters for the needs of boys and girls between the ages of 3 and 13. The school is located in its own beautiful 100-acre estate in the south of rural Shropshire on the Shropshire-Worcestershire border, within easy daily travelling distance of Bridgnorth, Ludlow and Kidderminster.
