Health and Social Care: All of our health and social care teaching team are clinical and academic specialists who teach in their area of expertise and are professionally active in their field. Some members of the teaching staff contribute to academic and research journals. Many are involved in research projects, some of which are undertaken within NHS Trusts that provide the settings for practice placements.
Biosciences: A review of teaching standards by the national Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) rated our courses in this subject area as excellent (22 out of 24). Many of our courses are accredited by the relevant professional body.
Many of our teaching staff work in our Biomedical Research Centre (BMRC) and feed scientific developments directly into our teaching programme. The BMRC was rated as very good (grade four) in the last national independent Research Assessment Exercise.
We offer a fully-supported, paid work placement in year three. We strongly recommend the placement as it allows you to develop your skills and makes you more attractive to potential employers. Our multinational placement partners include GlaxoSmithKline and AstraZeneca.

The School of Contemporary Chinese Studies, University of Nottingham is located in Nottingham, in Nottinghamshire County in the East Midlands of England (approximately 2 hours north of London).
