Stowe School is a co-educational independent boarding school in Buckingham, a one hour drive north of London in the heart of the English countryside. Both boys and girls are able to enter Stowe at either thirteen or sixteen years of age. Stowe is incomparably beautiful.

Location and Facilities:

Photo of Independent Day & Boarding School in the London Area, UK The main School building, once the mansion of the Dukes of Buckingham and Chandos, is set in 750 acres of landscape garden and parkland and within one of the finest neo-classical palaces in Europe, Stoics enjoy surroundings of extraordinary historical and architectural significance. Unique to Stowe are the lessons in ‘Visual Education’ given to all boys and girls in the 3rd form – these provide new Stoics with an understanding and appreciation of their environment.

Boarding Facilities:
Home for Stoics is one of the eight boys' or four girls' houses, either in the Mansion House itself or in more recently built buildings adjacent or close by. Each House has around sixty pupils and becomes the Stoic's 'family.' Houses share common values, whilst also reflecting the characters of the Housemasters or Housemistresses.

All main meals are taken together in the Mansion, giving an opportunity for social interaction across all year groups. Kitchens are also provided in Houses, providing another focal point for relaxed interaction, in addition to the central House rooms, and for occasional in-house leisurely breakfasts on a Sunday morning!

Rochester Independent College, Kent
Courses / Programs
Rochester Independent College, in the County of Kent, just east of London, offers a distinctive alternative to a conventional sixth form and a stepping stone between school and university.

Established in 1984, we accept day students from the age of 11. Boarding is available for A-level students and Year 11 students on GCSE courses who are aged 16 or older.

Students come to us from all over the UK and the world, as well as the local area. There are no bells ringing, no uniforms and everybody is on first name terms. The College has an atmosphere closer to university than school where students are treated as young adults.

About 65 of the College's 280 students are boarders. Our Halls combine the informality of a university residence with the supervision and pastoral support appropriate for young adults.

The College offers students the opportunity to thrive in an atmosphere of managed independence and acts as a stepping stone between school and university.

Our focus is on examination success in a lively, supportive and informal atmosphere. Students are encouraged to be themselves and achieve exam results that often exceed their expectations. Rochester Independent College is accredited by the ISC (Independent Schools Council).

Worth School, Turners Hill
Courses / Programs
Worth School is a Benedictine (Catholic) independent co-educational day and boarding school for boys and girls aged 11-18. The school is situated in Turners Hill, West Sussex, in South East England, only 50 km from London and 12 km from Gatwick Airport. At Worth, we see our pupils as 'Lanterns to Light'. Inspiring pupils to think, learn, create, imagine and perform is crucial if each individual is to develop their intellectual potential. Pupils are not merely taught what they need to know but, much more importantly, how to learn.

Academic Excellence is achieved primarily by excellent teaching and also by the application of new approaches to learning and a variety of exciting opportunities in which to discover and learn. A major strength of the school is the broad curriculum and the all-round education that pupils enjoy. Worth is proud to offer the International Baccalaureate alongside the traditional A Level curriculum, so that Sixth Form pupils can have as wide a choice as possible in the type of curriculum that suits them best.
