Week-long Summer Program for Musicians Ages 8-16:
Our course is very friendly and is so designed to accommodate and support young musicians of all stages and standards. We hope that students will at least have a basic rudimentary knowledge of music reading ability and have an elementary grasp of playing skills - as a guide, you will probably need to be a minimum of grade II standard.
Features include:
- Ensembles
- Bands
- Orchestra
- Choirs
- Musicianship groups
- Instrumental groups
- String ensemble
- Windband
- Leisure activities
- Swimming/games
Please make sure that you bring your first and second instrument (if applicable), with a named music stand and any music - solo, duet, or ensemble (plus piano accompaniment as necessary), which you enjoy playing, in a folder or music case. You may like to include this in one of the informal concerts held after lunch each day - Everyone gets the chance to play or sing.
